This place is great! The all you can eat fish fry on Friday is scrumptious. They have nightly specials in the winter that are great! They have daily lunch specials for 10.00!

What an amazing place to stumble across while we were visiting the area! It was late and we needed something to eat before getting to our air bnb and wow now I feel like we need to head back up north just to have the food here again! I am telling you, the seafood restaurant pasta is one of the greatest meals I’ve ever tasted!! It’s not too fishy and it’s perfect if you are in the mood for something cozy but not overly filling. The service was excellent and it was easy to get drinks as we needed. 10/10 will definitely be back once we back it back to the top of the mitten again!

To clarify: it was an older, short-haired blonde staff member who seated the couple in front of us with menus, then turned to us and told us to seat ourselves. I waited at the doorway expecting menus, but was told again to seat ourselves—so we sat outside, still without menus.
Your server, a dark-haired female, proceeded to serve the couple who had just arrived ahead of us—also seated outside—but made no effort to acknowledge us at any point. It doesn’t take much to greet a guest or simply say, “I’ll be right with you.” Regardless of how busy you claim to be (which you weren't—we looked), the lack of basic acknowledgment was clear.
I’ve worked in hospitality and I understand how things should work. This was poor service, and dismissing feedback doesn’t make it any less true. You also have other reviews citing similar experiences. Instead of trying to discredit mine, maybe it’s time to reflect on recurring issues.
As for my review history—yes, it includes both positive and negative experiences, as honest reviews should. If negative feedback is something you can’t handle, perhaps it’s time to consider whether this line of work is the right fit. Right now, your reply reads more like a defensive outburst than a professional response from a business owner.
Oroginal post: Can't say anything about the food because we couldn't even get service. Walked in the door, hostess sat people in front of us, told me to seat ourselves. Waited several minutes for menus and any recognition from the waitress that was getting drink orders from the couple that was sat next to us. Nothing. Waitress looked at us twice but didn't acknowledge us in any way. After what seemed like a long wait, we decided to leave and go somewhere else. My husband mentioned to the hostess on our way out why we were leaving and she didn't seem to care much. Really bad service for a restaurant that wasn't busy.

My wife has been wanting to come back here for a year since the last time we were here. We just walked in, got seated, sat for 25 minutes and were never offered a drink, I watched multiple tables get served drinks that were sat after we were. I have no idea why we were treated this way but as local residents we will not be back.

Great food and gluten free options!
I had the Lobster Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms… yum! It even had drawn butter. My hubby had a burger with a gluten free bun.
We had a party of 8 and they sat us quickly. Waitstaff were nice.
The food was very good, I got the fish and chips, and my husband got a crispy chicken sandwich.

We stopped for lunch. My wife wanted the lobster bisque and lobster roll and I got the fish and chips. The food was served very hot and was very tasty. The prices were a bit high, but it was a generous amount of very good food in a bar in a tourist town, so the prices were not unreasonable. I would come back again but not every day.

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday. We ordered a burger and a french dip both on a gluten free bun. The burger was apparently excellent. My french dip sandwich was rather good, though it would have benefited from a little more seasoning. I did salt it table side which sounds so strange for french dip. Kudos to them for actually toasting their gf bun ( I realize for some this may not be an option, but I have known places to have a dedicated gf toaster, even if it had to be brought out of storage on demand)
It was pretty quiet and the vibe and service was great at that time.

Had a not so great experience with the bartender. Didn't feel welcomed or like we should even be there. Felt more of a bother. Maybe he was having a bad day. Hope he finds his happy place. 😊
