The rooms are filled with a tv, microwave, toaster, utensils, coffee pot, the beds and pillows were comfy and a great nights rest. The view is a 1000% Awesome. The hospitality and generosity was outstanding. everything was clean and well maintained! Highly recommend this place. If money was no object, I would never leave. I fell in love with this place and I definitely will be back!! they trusted us and we trusted them. it's hard to find genuine people these days and the owners definitely showed us that there are still kind people around!! I'd give this place 1 million stars. I miss it already!!
This place was perfect for a long weekend getaway with my girlfriend. Josh was a fantastic chef and had a lot of knowledge of wineries and cool spots in the area. I'm not joking when I say Josh looked at me and my girlfriend and immediately knew our go to drink as well. A man of experience. We usually stay in TC when we come up to this area, from now on we'll be staying here. The views from our room were to die for, it felt like we were in a dream. The pizza was delicious and the drinks were made perfectly. See you guys in the spring when you open up. Thanks for having us.

We had an opportunity of a lifetime! It was a cause and effect that led us to a place that we didn't even know we belonged. It happened at the least expected time in our lives. But, in reality it was the best time ever. "Pam" who to come find out, owner answered the Vineyards phone, with a voice that is what I needed and maybe even yearned to hear. So pleasant, so accommodating, so helpful, everything my husband and I were looking for. She, her husband and her amazing Chef greeted us upon arrival and made us feel oh special. They gave us the honeymoon we never had an opportunity for. Please take their suggestions as validations when ordering dinner. It was spectacular. I, as a business woman don't always like to make all the decisions so it was a pleasure to have someone put themselves in charge for once. Ignore all bad reviews for this place, they were just having a bad day and this simply made them feel better. I honestly live a beautiful life and this place made me feel like it can only be better with trips and stays as such. Great job Steve and Pam. You killed it in my eyes.

Don’t dismiss this place because you think it is just an Inn. The Bistro is fantastic. If you are wandering the Leelanau Peninsula visiting Suttons Bay for shopping or wineries, definitely stop here for lunch or dinner. The gourmet thin crust pizza, artichoke spread, hospitality, outdoor seating/bar and view are all spectacular. Definitely worth the extra 5 minutes north. So relaxing and memorable!!

The owner is beyond a arrogant piece of work. If you want to be around that, this is your place. Don't support people who treat you bad and talk down on you

Called and tried to book twice. Woman who answered the phone didn't seem able to give information or book for fall. Ended up at Leeland Lodge. Such a wonderful choice!
Food and drinks: Closed on Mondays - which we would have been ok with....

This place is a hidden gem! So beautiful! Right on the water, plenty of shade, a nice breeze equates to a wonderful dining experience. 10 out of 10!

Such an amazing Inn! The location is fantastic with an amazing lake front. Room was spacious and comfortable. The Inn owners are welcoming and friendly, and the Bistro made one of the best pizzas we have had in a long time. We will definitely be back!!
Not one to write reviews but AVOID this place. I should have been smarter when booking but was swayed by the photos and was hoping to give it a chance. Pam, the owner, terrible customer service. After reading SO many other experiences, you have to know this wasn't a one off situation. Rooms are dingy, beds are old and uncomfortable. Very cute outside bar area but wasn't open when we were there. sad to see so much potential but there are plenty of other places to stay at that are more worthy of hard earned $$ by people vacationing.
We visited in July and decided for a change in scenery from the Leland area. Last year we stayed at the Whaleback Inn in Leland and let’s just say these two do not compare. the Vineyard Inn, the rooms are older, not clean, moldy, and the blinds barely close. The have a “new” cleaning person (that was the excuse) but it goes way past the person cleaning the rooms. As mentioned in other reviews, the location is prime but the location and the upkeep do not match. The restaurant was closed , supposedly due to staffing shortages which I do not doubt, but still a bummer. We booked for 3 nights mid week and there were very few at the inn. Our 2nd day my son had a medical emergency and we had to head back home 3 hours away. We tried to find the owner for 15 minutes and anyone else we could but NO ONE was around. This was approximately 11:15 in the morning. We wanted to let her know we had to leave. Instead we had to send a text . She said she would not credit us as we didn’t let her know before noon. We tried but as I said she was not around. I do not blame her for not crediting us (although trust me, there were plenty of open rooms) and each person can decide their own business practices. We called the next week to see if we could come back up and maybe have the one night credited back to us as well as staying an additional night and paying. Once again, I don’t fault the owner for saying no, but also know that they could use the business and what good business practices are. To say she was not very understanding is accurate. To say she could have been more understanding is accurate. To say we really wanted to enjoy our vacation is accurate. And to say we won’t be staying there again is accurate. It is too bad, it has potential but for the reasons stated above along with a lack of empathy will keep this inn the way it is. Bummer.

We had a very nice time at The Vineyard Inn. The owner, Pam, was very attentive during our check in. She was going to be away from the desk and even called me to see how far away we were. Since we were close, she waited for us to get there. The Inn was not full mid week so Pam delightfully upgraded our room to a suite. While the accommodations are not new and shiny, they were clean and comfortable. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Our room had a deck outside with a lovely view of the lake. The owner alerted us that there would be fresh muffins from a local bakery and coffee available in the mornings. They were delicious!! There is a sandy beach that we took advantage of, Since it was midweek, there were only 2 other people on the beach. It was like our own private spot. The water was beautifully clear. Such a relaxing place to be. My only 2 negatives were the restaurant wasn’t open when we were there (lack of staffing) and it’s older (but we didn’t mind that). Tips: 1) you don’t need to bring chairs. There are plenty of wicker chairs and a few lounge chairs on the beach. 2) you NEED water shoes / sandals. The beaches here are rocky. 3) I brought my own beach towels. 4) Suttons Bay is a cute town to walk around. Restaurants a little pricey ($18-$20 for hamburger and fries meal) but the food was good and it is a resort town. 5) The Vineyard Inn restaurant is only open on weekends so we always had to leave to get a meal, 6) But you could get a cocktail any time during the day or evening as the owners were prepared to make a drink for you. We had a lovely time overall! So peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing.
I cannot say enough good things about this Inn! The owners are great people, the old world Italian charm, Bistro and wines, not to mention the views and beach! Would highly recommend!

This open-air outdoor bar is the perfect place to stop by anytime of day for a few drinks, a light lunch or appetizers. I have arrived by dinghy twice and they have a dock that accommodates 5-7 boats depending on draft. The staff is always fun and friendly. We enjoyed two virgin pina coladas for the kids and bottled beer as well as a delicious wood-fired thin crust pepperoni pizza. It was mid afternoon on a Saturday both times we visited. Prices were reasonable. Food and service was good. Love the bar seats, the breezes and the view of the water.
