Wren Reviews
Amazing service and flavors
From the deepest corners of my server heart: hats off, huzzah and hallelujah to the staff at Wren. Tonight my mouth was happier than my entire being the last 12 years of marriage.
Tonight it was flawless, seemingly effortless from staff to provide us with said ‘experience’ we attempt to do every night as well.
Legit, off the hook with flavor profiles, course selection and presentation.
Craft cocktails at volume 11.
And let us pause for a moment to admire attention...read full review

Wren is a restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience in an intimate, cozy, and refined setting. The service is warm and welcoming, with impeccable attention to detail. The food is inventive and scrumptious, with highlights like the roasted white pumpkin soup, which is rich, velvety, and full of surprising flavors. The cocktails are fabulous, especially the Bonded Pear, a perfect fall drink with layers of flavor that make it unforgettable. The restaurant does not post a current menu, encouraging guests to make a reservation and be happily surprised by the offerings. Plate presentation elevates the experience, and the wine selection is well curated. The interior is cozy but could be reconfigured to provide more space, though the overall atmosphere remains "cool" and "unsuspecting." Guests often enjoy the soups, which are favorites, and the food consistently impresses with its creativity and taste. The meal can include dishes like celery root soup, wagyu steak, pork belly with a sunny side up egg over mashed potatoes, and kimchi fritters with beet sauce. The dessert menu is special, featuring items like olive oil cake and a super elevated butterscotch mousse topped with whipped cream and crunchy toffee-like pieces. The staff, including the talented chef and the friendly servers, provide excellent service, making each visit memorable. Wren is definitely worth visiting in the Grand Traverse area for those seeking a cozy, creative, and delicious dining experience.
