Been by this place 1000 times in the last couple years and never stop. Stop in tonight was pleasantly surprised although I think he’s using ash wood for the smoke which can be kind of strong but not bad.

I would give this a 3 1/2 if I could, but it leans toward 4 stars. The sides were quite good. Decent Mac and cheese and good coleslaw. The ribs were OK. The sauce was decent, but the wood they smoked with didn't give them the smokey flavor I normally expect. It tasted more like they smoked them over a campfire than carefully choosing a single type of wood they wanted.

First time visiting and we felt very welcomed by the owner and his wife. Once he found out it was our first visit he brought us a sample of his seafood salad while we waited for our pulled pork sandwiches. Both were delicious! The dressing on the salad was a poppy seed mayo and it was so tasty - I wish he used it in the coleslaw and potato salad! We ordered the brisket stew and ribs to go so we could try them for dinner.
