Was disappointed when i asked for extra cilantro and barely had any cilantro,when i asked for extra again the waitress looked at them like i was weird and came back with a tiny black cup with a few pieces more 😂 so if ya love cilantro they are stingy with it for some reason but man they were the best and the cilantro lime ranch was amazing!”

“The Bleu Moose Bakery cafe is a must stop for Tawas! Delicious pastries and more. Everything we tried was delicious! We had a triple crème brownie, crack cookie, raspberry cream cheese danish, quiche, ham and swiss croissant, baklava, and a bakers choice can’t remember the exact name but basically oatmeal cookie with butter crème on the inside. Don’t judge 🤣🤣 We will definitely be back 🤤🥰 The entire bakery was painted by the owner and the owner was in there serving us herself. Loved the homey feel of the bakery. You just can’t beat it. Make the stop you will not regret it!”

“We went in an hour and a half before closing with a party of 13, (we were vacationing in Tawas for Christmas). The staff were awesome they put together tables to accommodate our big family. The food was excellent. Highly recommend the pizza, burgers fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings and chicken trips. We left happy and full. Great experience altogether. Will be returning for another meal. Side note they do serve alcohol.”

“I rarely crave McDonald's. But today I wanted a McChicken. The food and everything was to be expected. The reason I'm giving review and five stars is before I left. I heard the manager clapping and telling the employees that they were doing a great job. It's 4th of July weekend and there's lots of people there serving and it just made me smile. Hearing a manager appreciate their employees.”

“Alexis, the manager, went out of her way to help me and my husband and even literally REPLACED an order when a DoorDasher messed up my order intentionally. This girl is truly a girls girl and awesome, she genuinely deserves a raise. She's been amazing every single time she's taken orders for us, even if I gave attitude in the past, she keeps it professional. Will go again simply because of her. 🖤”

“If there is an olive burger on the menu, my husband is going to try it. Me? It’s not something I seek out. Until now. The olive smash burger at Route 23 is amazing!! The olive topping is the best my husband says he has ever had and I have to agree. It’s not your typical mayonnaise based sauce, but rather a thick sour cream and cream cheese olive spread that adds the perfect creaminess. The burger overall is so well balanced in flavor. I think we have found our new favorite (which is not easy because all of the food we’ve ever tried has been fantastic!)”

“My family and I stopped by Downtown Diner for breakfast while we were in Tawas, and it was well worth it. There was a short wait, but that only confirmed how popular the place is.

The waffles were my favorite, and the hash browns were cooked exactly how I like them—crispy, golden brown on the outside with a nice thick center. Everything was fresh and delicious.

What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made an impression on us.

If you’re in the area and looking for great food and service that won’t disappoint, I definitely recommend giving Downtown Diner a try.”

“Was visiting my BFF and she had never eaten here. We were blown away! I had Chilean Sea Bass and the price was great before the 20% off fish entrees discount because of it being Friday. My BFF had an Almond Old Fashioned and she loved it. I had an espresso martini that was just as good as the one I had at a fancy italian restaurant in Troy, MI. She had the alfredo with chicken. It was great! Chicken we prepared perfectly and the sauce was really good! I also had the creme brulee and it was yummy! Would eat here again and again. Fun and not stuffy but excellent food!”
