2 people. Great little dive bar with surprisingly good food. The special wings (forgot the name) was great, and our two entree's were very good. Went on a Saturday and there was live music which was actually only 1 guy. He was great.

Great place. Awesome service. Never had an empty beer or drink. Food is good. Its bar food so I can't complain. If I wanted top notch, I wont goto a bar. Mix their food with some beer and it hits the spot. 7 out of 5 stars. I'll keep coming back.

Me & some friends decided to check out Salernos Tavern on Van Born for lunch yesterday, and It was the WORST experience. From the time we walked in we were met with dirty looks, the entire place has a very unwelcoming vibe. The waitress seemed nice at first, until we sent back an order of mini tacos.. then we became an issue. The mini tacos were EMPTY shells with no filling. I’m sorry, why would we pay for that? Where was the filling that was advertised? The lovely lady that was sitting by the door (not sure of her affiliation) was screaming at the guy next to her that she was going to kill him during this mind you. But her tantrum was interrupted when the waitress slammed the unfilled tacos we sent back in front of her, then the screaming turned towards us with this woman going on about how THEY ARE FROZEN TACOS FROM A BAG SO WHAT IF THEY ARE EMPTY. And blatantly mocking us… the paying customers.
Safe to say we paid, left and will absolutely never return. The place is dark, unwelcoming, food sucks, service sucks, and there are MUCH better local bars for a quick lunch. Wild Willy’s came in clutch with their great food & friendly staff after we ditched Salernos.

My husband and I stopped in for a drink and an early dinner and found out they were having live music. The food was good. We had pretzels, wings and sliders and I would recommend them, but the highlight of the night was the music! The band played a perfect mix of new and older music and sounded amazing. I would definitely come back to see the band! Hope the Frauds are coming back soon!

The owner really did a nice job with so much seating, live bands, great food, and a cool nostalgic bar from the 30s! I'll update with photos later. I had the full size chicken wings and they were juicy and delicious. Definitely check this place out.

This place is VERY PREJUDICE. My boyfriend and I waited for 10 minutes, not one server approached us so we left.
