Amazing…. If you haven’t tried this gem of downriver in a while NOW is the time. I admit in the past the consistency has been a little off. But not anymore. The new chefs are killing it! The drinks ( I love a good mimosa) are spot on I suggest the peach or berry. And the staff now obviously cares a lot. Jennifer as a bartender/ server can’t be beat. I suggest the south side beef at lunch time!!! $12 🤯 with fries and soup. Have you all seen the price of fast food???? This is a DEAL.

The atmosphere is great. You can tell the owner Donna has put her heart and soul into this place. Seriously if you haven’t checked this out! Or it’s been awhile do it now. This local spot could use the love. We all know major corporations have had enough of our money. Go somewhere you know it will count. 😘

First time here today, had lunch with an old friend. Food was delicious! Had the Salute Specialty pizza and the Michigan Cherry Salad, serving size was huge! The pizza was one of the best I've had in a long time! Nice atmosphere and service was great! Definitely will be back!

I have visited Salute Taverna a few times in the last few months.
While my roommate isn't a particular fan, I am, though I feel like they could provide better cook staff to ensure consistency with their food. Sometimes the food is pretty great, but other times the food is overdone or a little underdone. When I visit other Italian eateries in the downriver area I never have this problem and outside of this one being the closest one to my residence, there isn't much of a reason to pick this one.
The atmosphere is wonderful, though, and I do enjoy the unassuming cover bands, though I feel there could be more variety of music groups they bring in. All of this, coupled with higher prices than other eateries, I don't see myself coming here more than once every other month to try it again. I'd like to be a weekly patron, but currently they have some work to do.

This is our favorite stop to have a nice home Italian cooking. My family and I love going to this restaurant that we feel like home. The atmosphere is so nice with live music as well. You have different choices to sit. Out or inside or at the bar. Anyways, you will enjoy a great meal and excellent service. A nice gentleman in the kitchen, Devin, will make sure your food is up to your taste. If you haven’t gone to this nice restaurant, give it a try and see for yourself what I am talking about. Bon appetite!

The staff is friendly, foood is great, and the owner is awesome. Kareoke on Wednesdays, usually have some pretty good singers. They even allow me to sing once in awhile. Polly, the KJ is amazing. I’ve never had a negative experience there, in fact I look forward to Wednesday evenings, in spite of the long commute.

Had the fettuccine Alfredo recently ( changed it up a bit). So creamy and pasta done just right. Have enjoyed many dinners here. The food is always fantastic. I love the meatballs, the owner told me it’s her mother’s recipe. I am partial to the Lasagna but my son chooses something different every time and always enjoys what he gets. It’s family friendly and, weather permitting, the patio is the best.

Donna has created a lovely and warm atmosphere. The decor shows a true woman's touch. Every dinner I've had there has been delicious and well prepared. Donna adds a nice element to her upscale dining, with a diverse assortment of entertainment. Including Downriver's best Karaoke hostess, Polly Kenzie and local bands, performers and two-piece music acts. I even enjoy the fish and I'm not a seafood person. Lit candles on the bar in the evening. Nice touch.
