Food was excellent, had two eggs over medium with what toast and veggie sausage. Excellent!! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the blueberry pancakes. They came out looking beautiful and fluffy. In reality we had to use a knife to cut and the pancake itself was very very dense. I happen to prefer fluffier and more tender pancakes with more blueberries than what they served to us.

Really well prepared country breakfast served in a welcoming environment. Viola should be a go-to for breakfast and lunch in the area. Look forward to going again soon.

Great spot downtown Three Oaks! New owners are committed to quality here - all homemade! Great for families, breakfast and lunch! Very accommodating for groups too. Get eh biscuits and beignets!

Unfortunately, the breakfast was a letdown. The eggs were undercooked, the grits were completely bland, coffee below average, and nothing on the plate had much seasoning or taste. We left still hungry and ended up heading across the street for a second breakfast. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.

Also worth noting—all the reviews from before June 2025 seem to be for a previous restaurant that used the same name but has since closed. That should be corrected.

My fiance and I are from the town of Three Oaks and stopped in to try the new revamped Viola and it didn’t disappoint us! They were slam packed on a Sunday afternoon and you could tell they were short staffed, after what didn’t seem like that long of a wait to neither my fiance or myself the owner personally came over and apologized for our wait and comped our entire breakfast! I was absolutely speechless. Once our food reached our table it was beyond delicious and my fiancés biscuits and gravy were to die for! Definitely will be stopping in again! 11/10

We were fortunate enough to be invited to the soft opening of Viola Café this week. While we have always loved the charm of this little gem in Three Oaks, the new owners have knocked it out of the park on every level. Service was friendly, attentive and had great suggestions for us. The décor was modern, yet not stark, a very nice soothing atmosphere, comfortable seating and tables spaced enough apart to enjoy your meal in your space. Prices were very good and the portions generous. Now the food – EVERYTHING we tasted was phenomenal. The dishes had the right amount of flavor, spice and uniqueness (due to the recipes of the owners’ family members). I’m not one who can eat too hot and the only dish I found too hot was the Nashville chicken po boy sandwich. While I couldn’t eat much of that, the bread they serve it on is amazing. We also had the unique and very tasty 3 bean salad, an AMAZING “old school” potato salad, the chicken/sausage gumbo, beignets you’d be hard pressed to think were not from Louisiana, fantastic collard greens and chicken salad. Everything was incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly. And that was just lunch. Had we arrived a bit earlier we could’ve tried breakfast, but we WERE able to get a smidge of a taste of the sausage gravy that goes on the biscuits. I don’t even eat that but was blown away by that taste. NEXT TIME BREAKFAST!

What an adorable diner!! Very quaint .... but BUSY!!. We were heading back to IN after a concert and overnight stay at the casino. We decided on a local eatery instead of eating at the hotel for breakfast. We were first invited in by a cute blonde woman checking people in for the 15 minute wait. The 2 waitresses were very busy in the very small prep area in front of the kitchen window. The hand painted floral wall was very inviting and uplifting. We were both very excited to get our breakfast as everything boasts "homemade". I ordered the quiche. Today was feta and spinach. With sour dough toast. Very good but was too salty for my taste. I thought maybe because of the cheese. My husband ordered the full biscuits and gravy. It looked thick with big chunks of sausage. He said it was okay but the biscuits tasted burned. I had some with my toast and again seemed salty to me. Maybe just my taste. I would come here again if in the area. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming.

Vegetarian options: There is a lovely section of vegetarian meals!

Parking: There were plenty of street parking spaces on a Friday morning.

Kid-friendliness: Highly recommend bringing children! There's a nice section for children, and some items are free. This is a very kid-friendly restaurant.

Wheelchair accessibility: Help may be needed for wheelchair accessibility. There were two doors to go through, but the restaurant had great space.

Breakfast was very tasty and waitress was very friendly and service excellent. Back in the area after 4 years and had Meria as my waitress, and let me say she is as efficient as she is breathtakingly beautiful, this girl deserves a raise.

Wonderful little cafe. Stopped in on a slow weekday. Bring an appetite. I ordered the full biscuits and gravy. I think there were five biscuits under the half gallon of gravy they give you. Food was delicious. Service was fantastic too.
