Last night's dining experience was a reason to fall in love with amical all over again, the best octopus dish in town bar none, beet salad and duck confit, which is my favorite dish when prepared properly. Great Bordeaux wine selection and our server was fantastic. Just a great experience for me and my wife

Great flavors and ideas. Split the Apple fennel salad and skate on blackened rice with white asparagus. Finished with key lime tart. Servers were on point.

Had an amazingly delicious, creative dinner last night at Amical, TC, as part of CookBook week. HIGHLY recommend - the waitress, Amanda, is outstanding- as was the host who found the perfect table for us. This restaurant has been one of our top 3 here for over 10 years!

Drinks were amazing…food was just okay. Small servings, bland presentation, taste wasn’t amazing. Service was good. Overall, I won’t be back though.

This is our favorite restaurant in Traverse City. I’ve dined here many times times over the past several years and have been impressed each and every time. The food is always above expectations and on every visit there is something new to try. The atmosphere is cozy and never rushed. From the gracious owner, to the exceptional servers and the amazing bartender (she really is the best) they always make you feel like family. If you haven’t been there you are missing out on a wonderful dining experience.

A Traverse City Gem That Always Delivers

Amical isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience wrapped in warmth, flavor, and style. Tucked along Front Street with a view that perfectly pairs with a glass of wine, this spot captures everything great about Traverse City dining.
The menu is a seasonal masterpiece — creative yet comforting — with dishes that feel both familiar and elevated. The French-inspired flavors hit the sweet spot between rustic and refined, and the service? Always smooth, friendly, and just the right amount of local charm.

Whether it’s brunch with friends, a cozy date night, or a glass of rosé by the fireplace, Amical always feels like the right choice. A true must-visit for anyone who loves food with heart and flair.

PLEASE order the duck confit. We both agreed it was one of, if not the best, duck dishes we’ve had.

Surroundings relaxing, service fantastic (even in shoulder season) and menu amazing… Grilled octopus starter, peach salad, then rare miso-marinated tuna and roasted lamb shank… BEST I’ve had since we were in New Zealand! But definitely save room for raspberry crème brûlée! Our professional waiter Andrew was exceptional. What a great anniversary dinner!

The vibe is immaculate. However, we found the duck confite to be pretty oily. The rest of the food was so so for the price. Service also could be improved. We don't regret going but probably wouldn't visit again.

First of all I would like to say this is my first ever Google review. Never in my life did I think I would ever need to resort to a google review. The amount of disrespect my family, my friends, and I received has resulted in me writing my first ever Google review. As a parent of 3 children and as any parents would know children can be loud and obnoxious in that environment. These 6 kids sitting at a table supervised by 4 adults sitting right by them were actually behaving respectfully. Keep in mind that this reservation was booked ahead of time with the restaurant having prior knowledge of 6 kids being a part of the reservation. The owner or manager of the restaruant randomly comes up to our table and starts ranting about controlling our children. Shame on that person for behaving like that in a place of business. I have never in my life been disrespected like that in a restaurant. If our children were behaving in a manner where we deserved to be disrespected like that I would understand but they were not. The owner or hopefully manager becuase any owner behaving like a child in his own business like that was unreal. The fact that I was actually forced to write my first ever Google review should say a lot. I hope the owner or manager felt like a real man after telling us not to worry about the bill after offering to pay for the drinks that were ordered. I’m sure that helped you feel justified for your behavior.
