Bake Shoppe of Traverse City

I stopped in for the first time today. I got a cherry turnover that was really good. However, as others have mentioned, I did notice some moldy bread on the shelves. When I brought the loaf up to the cash register to let them know, the employee acted very nonchalant about it and did not seem to care. It was a little off-putting. However, the turnover was yummy and very affordable and their breads do look really good. If you’re interested in buying bread, I’d recommend asking what loaves are the freshest and make sure to check them.

Very nice and personable man helped us. We bought the cinnamon bread and it was so good that we wish we had bought more to take back home. Years ago we used to buy the seed bread and the whole family loved it for healthy sandwiches. Can’t wait to go back next year.

I just purchased the Low Carb Bread at a local Grocery Store in Lake Leelanau, it is amazing! Will be going back for more!

Great place to get cinnamon bread. I heat it up in the oven for breakfast, layer it with butter and honey and it's basically the perfect food to start a day with.

I stopped in on my way home from work to pick up a loaf. I saw an entire shelf of moldy bread on the racks. When I tried approaching the worker who was standing at the register, he did not even acknowledge me. He stood there looking right through me while listening to music on his headphones. Eventually another worker came over, though since they were unable to tell me when the moldy bread was made I went to another bakery for my needs

Ordered custom sugar cookies for a baby shower. They were communicative and reasonably priced. The cookies were delicious and beautiful. I was late for pick up and they were very kind and worked with me. Would highly recommend.

I wanted to try this place. I got cookies that were stale, the bread was gross. I found bread with mold on them

I absolutely adore their chocolate brownie cookies stuffed with peanut butter. Free samples also are wonderful. Can't forget the stuffed cinnamon swirl bread as amazing as well. All their products are pretty good.. I would give them 5 Stars if they had another outstanding product on par with the chocolate brownie cookies set of peanut butter that I've tried. prices are also very reasonable, especially when you buy things day-old at Half Price. Oh yeah I had some wonderful double chocolate cake bread, zucchini bread, pumpkin bread and carrot bread from there. Could have been banana bread too. Can't remember now. Sorry for the rambling.
