I like this winery because the staff pays 0 attention to you, which is a great thing in my opinion! You can wander around and do whatever you want. Lots of seats outdoors. I was able to see the grapes still on the vine. I had a riesling, very good. Not bad prices for a flight. around 20 bucks for 2 people.

The Lucy (? Whichever wine with watermelon) was so delicious! Onion dip with pop chips was great too. Beautiful grounds.

Disappointed. Bought a flight and was given no information about the wines. Terrible customer interaction!

The wine was a 4. However, the bathroom odor was a 1 and would make you sick.

Aaron and Bethany are the best! Loved our visit today! Best winery on the Peninsula!

As a Traverse City local and former Old Mission Peninsula industry worker, I was very disappointed by my recent experience at Bowers Harbor Vineyards. I visited on a Sunday evening and was genuinely excited to finally make it up to Bowers, as I’ve visited nearly every other vineyard on OMP.

When we arrived, we looked over the menu and placed our order—the young woman who helped us was friendly and quickly put together our flights. The wine was good and did not factor into my review. Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. Despite being there a full 40 minutes before closing, a middle-aged blonde employee began loudly injecting air into sparkling bottles while openly complaining to her coworkers about how “nobody’s here” and suggesting they should start closing early. This was all said loudly enough for our group, as well as another nearby couple, to hear—making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Having worked in the industry, I completely understand that slower days can be frustrating. However, it’s entirely unacceptable to disrupt guests’ experiences with closing duties and complaints while customers are still present. It left a disappointing impression of a place I had really been looking forward to visiting.

I always love to come here, but during the uncorked event I brought my family from overseas and it was super embarrassing that as soon as we walked in we had the worst and rudest girl serving at the bar. This whole situation changed my opinion of the place. I didn’t catch her name, unfortunately.

They love dogs.

No one provided helpful guidance. Pre-selected wine flights only. Nice atmosphere though.

Out of all the wineries we have visited this one we'll never visit again. The staff was rude. We didn't realize that their one area was for wine club members only nor was it marked as such.

My hubs and I came to Bowers Harbor on a Sunday in January. It was pretty slow when we arrived.

We were on a Snowshoe Wine & Brew tour with Brew Bus when we snowdshoed our way over to Bowers Harbor from Mission Distilling. It was so pretty!

I ordered the pinot grigio, which was ok, not one of my favorites.I would definitely be up for trying something different and giving them another shot.

There was a cork made frame to take pictures in, the property was beautiful and there was an outdoor firepit. Definitely worth a stop in the wintertime just as much as summer.

Beautiful property. Very large and welcoming. The gift shop has lots of shirts and sweatshirts with the vineyard name. The wine bottles are nicely organized and would make nice gifts.

We were not impressed at all with the vineyard. We wanted to share a flight but they have fixed selections based on wine type. We wanted to customize our own but they do not work that way. Every other winery we went too we could choose what we wanted. You lost us as a customer.

Love wine tastings but they don’t even let you pick what you want. You have to pick a category and good luck. Left immediately.
