Good vibe. Great coffee. Excellent breakfast sandwich. Wish the cashier was a little more friendly.
I drink lattes on the daily, and usually fancy making themself. Ergo, I’d like to think I’m a little picky! Brew keeps a simple menu and thus maintains the best quality for their products. Multiple visits to Brew left us impressed with their ability to consistently deliver quality across their different drink types.I also love their decor and use of space to feature (and sell) the works of local artists. Well done!We tried multiple coffee places in town, and I only recommend Brew and Rough Pony.
Brew is such a great coffee shop! My family and I picked up breakfast sandwiches and coffee from there all 4 days of staying in Traverse City on vacation, and every day it was perfect.Their breakfast sandwiches are really tasty, as is their coffee (we ordered iced lattes, cold brew, and drip), and they have a nice little wine selection too. They have a small cocktail selection, and the old fashioned I had was solid.
I use to come here at least once a week. I left for the winter this last year and when I came back for the summer, they had changed not only the look of the place, but the food and drinks as well. The inside isn't nearly as welcoming and homey as it use to be. Instead it feels cold and empty. They need to bring back the comfy couches and welcoming furniture they use to have. Regardless of how it looks, they changed their food menu as well. You use to be able to get really really good food such as sandwiches, toasts, and bowls of all kinds! It was amazing! I looked forward to having their salmon toast every year. However, now they throw cheap ingredients on white bread that is as big as the palm of my hand and charge you $15 for it. Horrible. Do not waste your money on the food they serve. The drinks still taste great thankfully, however, you use to be able to get your lattes in a huge mug, but now they are in a small mug that is hard to hold because their isn't a handle on them. I am begging the owners to bring back the old brew that I know and love. This new Brew is NOT a good change. Horrible.
I miss the old Brew. This was my most favorite place for a chai, but since the spring remodel, the prices went up, the beverage sizes have gone down(one size. 12oz), and the comfy homey seating has been replaced with plastic. I understand the need for upkeep, and the remodeled all gender restrooms look great. However, it doesn't feel like a unique space that I can cozy up with a book or a project. I might as well go to Mundos down the street for equally modern decor, and more bang for my buck. I'll miss you, Brew.
The B.E.C. is divine, the perfect amount for a breakfast sandwich and they load it up with cheese. The egg is fluffy and delicious. Also got a vanilla latte with oat milk and it was just the right amount of sweetness. A must visit!
Super coffee, quick and helpful service. It’s a great place to stop for a delicious coffee. They also have food but we didn’t try any.
Brew was a nice place to stop while walking through downtown. The staff was friendly and very active in keeping the place clean. The space itself was warm and relatively spacious. I just had a cortado, and it was very smooth and rich. I had no issues with my visit at all.
MadCap coffee is amazing here. My spouse loves the overnight oats. Also, side note, the bathrooms are super cool (thank you Brew).
Great environment; perfect place for long study sessions or great conversation. Serves a wide range of drinks, including alcoholic beverages. The food is delicious and the customer service is amazing. Jamie is our favorite, she always remembers us and our order and is always working hard. Best coffee shop in Traverse City!

Nice coffee and late night drinks. Staff is great too. Happened to be there for happy hour which goes like 4-7 pm and takes $2 off beers. Not mad about it!
Nice interior decor, comfortable seating. Cocktail pretty expensive for the very small size and coffee drink was lukewarm unfortunately. Staff didn't seem too happy though it was a bit busy.
Just stopped in while touring Traverse City. I ordered a dirty chai and my partner got a London fog. Both of us were extremely happy with our beverages. Probably one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Bathrooms were clean and the atmosphere was fun. Service was great. Highly recommend.
Loved our lattes so much we came back again the same day :) cute spot with great coffee & a killer breakfast sandwich
So many great drinks available! They use Madcap coffee ☕ which is amazing and high quality. The concept of a combined cafe and bar within one laid back space is unique and really fun! Being able to get a cocktail in the afternoon or a coffee in the same place is very convenient. We need more places like this!
