Had the American and Big Blue burgers, both with sweet potato tots. The burgers were very tasty and the tots were great. Server was very friendly. Would recommend.

Fun spot, came in needing a table for 10 and they were spot on when they told us 30 minutes. We wandered a bit to kill time and they were ready for us on time. Service was good, even with a big table. Food was tasty and the Inferno bloody Mary was good. Would happily go back again.

Nice spot in downtown Traverse City! Came on a Monday evening and was able to say right away. Staff was friendly and attentive. Got the olive burger and the burger patty was cooked and seasoned perfectly and juicy. Flavor was delicious and wasn't overcooked like many places. Atmosphere was nice, kinda a bar vibe, but not over the top. Overall very happy with dinner!

This review is on behalf of my elderly parents who just wanted to have some good food:
“We came in to this place because of reviews about some excellent burger. We were greeted by a very young server who spoke so quickly we had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. My husband, who’s in his 70s and has trouble seeing (almost blind in one eye), asked what kind of beer they had. Instead of helping or offering a menu, she just said, “It’s on the wall behind you.”
She said she’d give us some time and walked away, only to come back just two minutes later. My husband told her he still needed time because he doesn't see very well, and she just turned around and left without saying a word. He was struck to see her mumble something under her breath, sounding annoyed.
At that point, we didn’t feel welcome at all. It’s one thing to be busy or new, but it doesn’t take much effort to be kind or helpful—especially to someone older who clearly needs a bit more attention. I’ve worked in hospitality, and one of the most important parts of the job is making people feel comfortable and cared for. That was definitely missing here.
We ended up leaving. If a place makes you feel like a bother instead of a guest, it’s just not worth it. It’s a shame that the hard work of everyone else can be undone by someone who clearly doesn’t care.
We ended up spending money in a different burger place.”

We ended up at Bubba’s after we realized half the town is closed on Monday and we just wanted something to eat after not finding much. We were so glad we did! We weren’t going for burgers but they were the best we’ve had in a long time and the service was fantastic. I recommend the sweet potato tots. So good!

Loooooord have mercy this place is fantastic! Came here to Traverse City as tourists, the lady and I and we decided to come to Bubba's for lunch a beer. Great seating arrangement for small or large groups with prompt and delightful service! Our server, Randi, was a gem who wasn't pushy and didn't stand over us, but was attentive and friendly making sure our waters and beer flowed and that the food was enjoyable, and wow, was it amazing!
Starting out with the Irish egg rolls, the corned beef inside was juicy and melty, and the outer crust was fried to perfection. I myself had the stadium burger with a grass fed beef patty. Excellent violation of my mouth as the cheese covered my beard (my lady loved it ?). She had the Shrek and that fried cheese on the patty was the chef's kiss!
Glad we came here to Bubba's and when we visit Traverse again, this will be the go to lunch spot for us!
Visiting from Phoenix, AZ and stopped in for burgers. The burgers were excellent, we had the blue cheese burger. Glad we popped in here!

If you are in Traverse City you need to try bubba's. I got the Shrek burger, and it was amazing. We had Neil as our server and he did a fantastic job. He was friendly and attentive, ask for him and you will get great service.
