Ordered a portion of potatoes and noticed that they tasted like a day old and were heavily oversalted. How fresh really is the food here?

I got a reservation here at the last second so I didn't have the highest hopes. However the food and the service was fantastic.
The drinks were very good.
We had the rabbit, the whitefish, and the beef ragu. Each one was very good, but the rabbit was absolutely amazing. One of the best entres I have had in a long time.
If I had two complaints one the cost was a little high based on portion size, and they charge a service fee for credit cards.
I wouldn't normally care if a mom and pop store charges a service fee, but our meal was $200. Charging a service fee feels a bit tacky.
Outside of those two issues the food and service were great. I would come back for the rabbit.

We stopped in for happy hour and had some fall drinks and apps. Deviled eggs are yumm-o and so are the potato chips! Great service and the waiter even took our request for music. #farhall #camo

I've been here a few times and I can't believe I've never left a review. The menu is always changing so don't count on these things being available.
We both had the short rib ragout and it was fabulous. It was properly cooked and well seasoned.
The craft cocktails are well thought out and delicious. I had the bon fire this time. It was like s'mores in a glass.
Last but not least, the service was great. Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
Well done BKC!

We made a stop in to Bushell's after a full day visiting wineries and exploring Traverse City. When we got there it was only the Late Night menu being offered, but that did not take away from the experience. My wife and her friend tried some of the specialty cocktails and loved them. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, burrata, deviled eggs and pork ragu off the late night menu and all were top notch, but the chicken sandwich was the star of the show (I don't usually like pickles at all, but the ones on this sandwich were the exception!). Really nice and clean atmosphere as well. Would recommend this as a place for a later meal as many spots in Traverse City seem to close at either 8pm or 9pm. I would love to go back for the regular menu to see how it stacks up, but was not disappointed at all by having the late night menu.

Small plates, but good. Lettuce wraps are TINY, fair warning. Gourmet so portions are small but delicious. Smoked Old Fashion not worth the up charge of $3

Wonderful experience at this Southern inspired Traverse City downtown spot. Food prepared We look forward nearly perfectly - flavorful and filling. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere is cozy. Worth a visit!

STOP! Read this!

You MUST order the fried chicken dinner.
This fried chicken comes with mashed and gravy, baked beans, mixed greens salad, watermelon, and two homemade sauces. So good!

The chicken is brined and melts in your mouth, the gravy is better than grandma’s…

Just do it, take home leftovers.

Trust me….

I stopped in for drinks and appetizers with a friend after shopping downtown. The location is great and there is outdoor seating. We had heard great things about Bushell's so we had high expectations. The atmosphere is upscale and comfortable. The bartender Madi recommend we try their signature blue cheese martini and lavender dust cocktails. They were both delicious. We ordered corn bread, popcorn chicken and shishito peppers and broccoli. I can't pick my favorite. Definitely a five star experience all around.

Our first experience here was not what we had hoped for. We had heard amazing things about their chicken sandwich, but when we arrived, we discovered it was only available on their late-night menu, which starts at 8 PM. Additionally, they do not accommodate allergies of any kind.

We ended up ordering the Beef Ragu and the Trout Tartine. Both dishes were good, but they weren't worth the price we paid for dinner.

In the end, we decided to grab pizza afterward.
