Decent fudge - nothing phenomenal. But I was sorely disappointed to find a 27 cent, non-cash charge on my receipt. It would have been nice to be told ahead of time. I totally had cash that I would have used had I been forewarned with a standard sign near the check out.

If you can't make the trip to Mackinac Island, this is the next best thing. Of course, the fudge is made in house and not just shipped from Mackinac. They have all the mainstays and plenty of uncommon flavors. Whatever you get, you won't be disappointed.

Very good fudge!

My daughter's love fudge (I'm guilty as well) so I was easily convinced to stop in for a treat. I must say the fudge was so creamy and soft. A thin slice would not require chewing, you could literally let it melt away on your tongue. The two flavors we tried were great and they had a pretty big selection of choices. The shop itself was very clean and well kept. They have a small selection of gift type items perhaps to go along with the fudge if you were giving as a gift. The staff was pleasant and greeted us as we came in. My only negative is I felt it was slightly pricey. I get that it's a indulgence but there was a moment of sticker shock. Still loved the fudge thou.

Huge variety of fudge of every flavor imaginable. It was quite good, but make sure you bring help because the slices they give you are fairly large and tough to eat if you’re just one person as they’re very rich and tasty. They had plenty of staffing, and they were all exceedingly friendly and knowledgeable about their product. We are visiting from out of town and walked in on a whim a boy. We were glad we did. Next time we’re in Traverse City will be back. Hats off to your service as they made the experience what it was, as well as the delicious fudge.

We got 5 slabs of fudge and it was all great. I loved the chocolate with cherry fudge the best. Service was friendly and let us sample the fudge we wanted to buy.

Delicious cherry vanilla fudge! But the same flavor fudge was better (deeper flavor notes) at the Murdick's in Sutton's Bay!

Fudge is amazing, girls working there need some customer service training. 3x3 inch sign on the door says cash only. Of course I missed it, I’ve never been here before. So I ordered, they boxed it up, and then said their card reader isn’t working. I had no cash. Who has cash? I said, “Tell people that before you box it up because no one carry’s cash.” I didn’t think that was rude at all. It’s helpful. They boxed up an order and then had to put it back! Went outside and my sister just happened to have cash. So I go back in and I said, well it turns out my sister is one of the weird people that has cash. The high school girl who was playing on her phone turns and walks away. The other girl won’t look up or acknowledge me. I stand there for 30 seconds and then just walk out. Punishing customers because they tell you the obvious means you will never again get my business. If I owned this place and found out my employees treated customers like that I would fire them. This was 6/30/23 at about 5pm, just in case anyone wanted to know!

I visited this place so many times in a span of only 4 days and let me tell you my favorite flavor they have is the cookies and cream. It will make you wanna keep coming back for more! It's not too sweet and it has the perfect taste of Oreo filling. Each batch is made fresh and every time I get a box of fudge it's still very soft. Their packaging is so simple but cute and the seal is very new. (Also comes with a complementary knife). The inside of Murdick's is old fashioned and they make fudge the traditional way behind the display so your able to see how they make the fudge you purchase! Fun for kids to watch. Service is quick and easy so your not there for too long! They have a wide variety of flavors, and your bound to find something you enjoy. If your planning to go on a trip to traverse city, don't hesitate to give Doug Murdicks Fudge a try!
