I’ve been getting pizza from GJ’s every once in a while for several years now, and unfortunately had the misfortune of bringing a pizza home today and finding at least 3 flies in it. Definitely brings into question how the food is prepared and things that are done to it that you might not even be able to see. Sent some photos of it to the person who said that they were the manager (Christian) and he offered to refund me, but it would require me to drive all the way back out to reverse the payment on my card. Unfortunately it’s not worth the gas and time for me to do so. Never ordering from there again.
C'mon what happened to the chef salad? I order from the west side as your chef salad WAS amazing! Now its nothing but lettuce! BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL CHEF SALAD!!!

My sons grew up on GJ’s pizza and was a “must have” for my eldest son whenever he was visiting. I don’t know what happened to it but the dough was rolled so thin that the pizza sauce was coming through the bottom. I gave it two stars because the ‘GJ’s’ flavor was there but where did the crust go? Didn’t finish eating. It was just plain messy. What a disappointment.

The pizza is so thin it’s like a single layer of overcooked lasagna but that may be someone’s jam or not
for being super nice for a mistake i made. will go back!!
Some of the worst pizza I have ever had! Thin, greasy, hardly any toppings and extremely over priced!! I highly recommend visiting another place to get pizza. We will never be back.

I grew up in this town, and GJ’s used to be one of those places that actually meant something. The pizza was great, the service was fast, and it had a reputation you could count on. But after hearing from some old friends that things had taken a nosedive under the new owner, I decided to see for myself while I was back in town.
Honestly, I wish I hadn’t.
I stopped by a couple weeks ago, and the experience was a mess from the start. It took nearly 40 minutes to get a single pizza and a drink—only for the order to be wrong. When I asked the staff if there was a manager or owner I could speak to, one of them just shrugged and said the owner “doesn’t really come around anymore” and “he’s not in a great mood when he does.” Not exactly reassuring.
Still, I figured maybe it was a one-off bad day, so I came back one more time before leaving town—during Cherry Fest, no less. You’d think with a busy crowd, management would be present. But no. Long lines, confused staff, missing items in my order again. When I asked if the owner was around this time, the cashier said, almost word for word, “He’s never really here. That’s kinda why things are like this now.”
That just about says it all.
It’s obvious the current ownership has no real investment in this place beyond collecting what’s left of the profit. The heart of GJ’s is gone. What used to feel like a reliable local gem now just feels hollow and frustrating.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but it’s honestly depressing to see something that once had so much potential fall apart like this. If the owner happens to see this—and actually cares—maybe take a long look at how far this place has slipped under your watch. Because from the outside, it looks like you’ve checked out completely.
GJ’s deserved better. So did your customers

We were there tonight 6-28, the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to take of a very unruly customer. They were very professional and courteous. Thank you for all you do.

Best pizza sub around, made the same for 30+ years
Waited 45 minutes for pizza after
preorderinf 15 minutes before. Only 2
orders got picked up while there. Then they gave us the wrong pizza somehow even though the guy verified my name.
Paid 36 dollars for a topping 14 inch thin crust pizza that had almost no sauce, no cheesw and no toppings. I don’t know what the 3 employees were doing
as there was no one in store with big storm out.

I really love the pizza and brownies
Best pizza in T.C. I'm originally from Chicago and have craved Pub style pizza like they have there. This place is just as good. Great employees as well.
