Grand Traverse Distillery

Had a wonderful experience, my girlfriend saw this tour pop up for things to do around traverse city, the price for the experience Is well worth it. Wonderful woodsland drive up to the location, although a bit hard to find, maps seems to show the auto shop in the same business loop as the location, but there are some signs showing the way. Once you get there you are greeted in a nice cozy tasting room, and very friendly staff (my memory is cursed to never retain names, but I believe our guide was Laura, if I’m wrong, we were the goofy couple with the sticker van, feel free to correct me) she led us through several options, which let to me finding and falling in love with the chipotle vodka+costal Mary mix, and my girlfriend immediately buying a bottle of their in house bourbon, found out some interesting info on the distilling and aging processes, and overall had a great time. I would highly recommend stopping by on any “up north” Michigan road trip.

This was an amazing experience from the initial phone call through to the end. We were lucky enough to have our tour given to us by Laura and she was nothing short of amazing. She was extremely informative, welcoming, and fun. This distillery taught me that vodka can actually be sipped. They have amazing products with amazing staff.

Went on a tour this past week and loved it! Tasty spirits and an entertaining, informative time getting to talk directly to the owner. Definitely recommend!

We went to Grand Traverse today while vacationing in Michigan. By far the absolute BEST vodka I've ever had. The cherry, cocoa and chipotle flavors were all exceptional! And Joe was so nice and fun, it made for a great experience!

We had such an incredible experience here! We have been going to the Leland tasting room each summer we visit for the past 5 years and have loved and supported them ever since we first started going and enjoying their whiskeys and cherry vodka. This trip we finally got to tour the distillery and are so glad we did! It was such a cool experience and Stephen was great. Explained everything well, answered all our questions, made the experience fun and memorable, and made us love the company and products even MORE! I highly recommend anything from Grand Traverse Distillery but would also suggest you go on one of their tours - so affordable and more than worth it in my opinion!

Such a great experience! The staff was so knowledgeable about everything! Shelby was great in the tasting room with recommendations for their spirits etc. the owner took us on the tour of the process and it made it feel more homey! Will def be back again!

Showed up on a beautiful day and Kent, the owner, personally walked us through his business and educated us on his passion for distilling. Such a great time! Amazing staff all around and then the absolute pinnacle was the tasting. Shelby was awesome and provided so much knowledge on each flavor and style. I recommend this hands down....100% for a fun and enjoyable outing up here in TC.!!!

We visited in mid May 2024. Wonderful place to taste a wide selection of spirits. The gentleman working was knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a great time and picked up a few great bottles. I highly recommend visiting there.

Did a tour here today. The tour itself was not much due to this being a small operation and the normal guide not working today. However, we still had a great time and even though the tour was not much the tasting afterwards was well worth the experience.

We toured with Laura and she was a delight. It was such a fun experience walking around and learning about the process. We got to talk to one of the distillers and he had a lot of knowledge as well. I was excited to try the cherry vodka and it lived up to all my expectations! Laura was even kind enough to let you try your sample first and then give you a mixer to try it again and the flavors were amazing both ways. She even took our picture in front of the barrels which was so kind. I’m really glad we found this experience and I will be recommending this to anyone that comes to TC. Just make sure you don’t go to the downtown location looking for the tour like we accidentally did!

Tour was good, Laura was so nice and informative. We got a glass and had several tastings. I like how they have vodka, gin, rum and whiskey. She knew what they mixed well with too.
