Great views from every angle. Nice outdoor space. Personable and friendly staff. We visited during the winter (slow season) and we were not able to enjoy the outdoor space. Numerous wine options ( sparkling, dry to sweet)
Really pretty view overall, you can see a winding road and the lake behind. Their cherry wine is very good too. Had ordered different flights, all very good. Riesling, cherry rose’, etc. Cracker with cheese dip was fine. Cracker was full of seeds, which tasted really good.
I visited several vineyards on this peninsula and liked Hawthorne the best. It wasn't as crowded as the other vineyards (not sure if that's normally the case or if I just got lucky), the staff was very nice, and I loved the wine and the atmosphere.
Great indoor seating with helpful staff and lovely wine.
Very nice grounds and good choices of wines. They have a popcorn flight for the kiddos and they enjoyed that. There was no wait and staff was very friendly and helpful!
Great venue and great.staff. A real hidden gem!
I love the view of the bays and the outdoor fireplace. They have popcorn flights.
So cute, loved the popcorn flights too!
Went here to have a glass of wine and to enjoy the view of both bays at once. Staff is very helpful. Liked all 3 of the dry whites and the rose we tasted. Great location for the views of the area.
We enjoyed the white and red flights. Wonderful tastings, an adventure in our mouths! A big thank you for the original artwork Stella gave us.

Went for my bachelorette party and had a blast! They stayed open for us past the hours listed and were very personable. Would definitely come back again.

Staff we so friendly and knowledgeable. Wines were absolutely AMAZING!
Hawthorne Vineyards was the last stop late in a long day of wine tasting on the Mission Peninsula. Thank goodness we made the stop, since it turned out to be the best one by far. While a bit off the beaten path, you’ll find Hawthorne to be a charming and peaceful setting that will make you want to stay and relax for some time. Their wines were delicious, the selection of wines was terrific, and cost wise it was the most reasonable of all the tastings we did. But the best part of the stop was our host Lauri, who was extremely engaging, personable, and very knowledgeable about the wines she was serving. We’re so glad we stopped, and will not hesitate to return next time we’re in the area.
Incredible wine with an incredible view. I absolutely love it here. New wine club members as of today!
