This winery is so quaint with really good tasting wines and a friendly staff. We always enjoy our visits here.
Intimate, quiet, great wine, great view. I would recommend!!
The staff was phenomenal, the atmosphere was laid back and not pushy, absolutely awesome! We ended up getting a wine club membership for out of state shipping and loving every minute here. It is a little off the “main road” as a tourist but absolutely worth it!!!
Great selection of wine tasting. Nice outside patio and beautiful views.
Great atmosphere!
Stopped by Hawthorn the other week after a bike ride out OMP. Staff and service was great. Enjoyed a flight of red wine on the lawn and took in the views. Hawthorn is a hidden gem on OMP.
Great wine, friendly people, and awesome views/experience! These GA RV travelers love awesome surprises like Hawthorne’s!
Wine with a view
We visited the Hawthorn Winery yesterday for tasting flights and were not impressed! Service was absolutely terrible! The sign said wait to be seated and nobody ever offered to seat the 3 of us. So we finally just went to a table ourselves. We waited a good 20 minutes for a server to finally come to our table. There were only 2 other tables with customers. We each ordered a flight. After 16 minutes of watching the 2 servers talking, with no indication of putting the flights together, I went up to the counter and canceled one flight. Finally, the one flight came to me table. We quickly finished it, paid, and left! We won’t be back!
A hidden gem in old mission peninsula. I love the intimacy of this place and the wonderful view of the lake. Sam was an amazing hostess and made good relationships.Pinot Grigio is very good

The wine at Hawthorne was good. I mostly stuck with their white wines in my tasting, but they were somewhat nuanced. The pinot blanc was probably my favorite. The staff was friendly and the place itself was pretty home-like. The views from their spot on the hill were nice though. It’s kind of hidden away back there.
Good wine, friendly staff, quiet areas, and good prices
Beautiful views, delicious wine and pup friendly!
Great views from every angle. Nice outdoor space. Personable and friendly staff. We visited during the winter (slow season) and we were not able to enjoy the outdoor space. Numerous wine options ( sparkling, dry to sweet)
Really pretty view overall, you can see a winding road and the lake behind. Their cherry wine is very good too. Had ordered different flights, all very good. Riesling, cherry rose’, etc. Cracker with cheese dip was fine. Cracker was full of seeds, which tasted really good.
