Mammoth Distilling Cocktail Lounge

I don't know what I was expecting. I live in Kentucky and have gone to my fair share of distilleries great and small. It was dark and gloomy with very little atmosphere. There was some live music coming from next door so that was cool. The tastings were priced well and the Whiskey was alright. I was also looking for touristy things like whiskey glasses and such but there weren't any. So maybe I wasn't what their demographic was looking for.

We did the whiskey blending on a whim and it was so much fun! We learned a lot, enjoyed some great whiskey and left with a one of a kind souvenir.

We were gifted the Whiskey Blending Experience: this was an extraordinarily wonderful, uniquely Northern Michigan gift. Hunter guided us expertly through the tasting and blending process, educating us on everything whiskey, then mixing a bottle for each of us based on a recipe we created during the session (be sure to try Hunter’s personal recipe!). Highly recommended as a gift or a treat for yourself.

We had a great time there and can't recommend this place enough. Hunter and the team treated us great and treated us to the best distillery experience we've had and we've stopped at many.

Did a Whiskey Blending for our Anniversary. We had such a great time and learned a lot! Hunter is super knowledgeable about the process, was patient and professional. Highly recommend this experience!

I have been to Mammoth multiple times, and the service and drinks are always exceptional. Recently we participated in the "Blending Experience" activity. I would highly recommend this, it was fun and Hunter had a lot to do with that. He took excellent care of us and answered any questions we had. We each left with our own blended 750ml bottle with a customized label. If you decide to try the Blending Experience, you will not be disappointed, especially if have Hunter as your guide.

The entire family at Mammoth is nothing short of amazing. We are members in Grand Rapids but visit the other locations when we are close to them. This past weekend we were in Traverse City for a wedding and Mammoth allowed us to use their back area for our family to hang out and enjoy ourselves. From getting our food for us to making amazing cocktails, everyone there was welcoming and pleasant. This is one of top spots, aside from our home spot at Mammoth in GR! From my entire family to everyone at Mammoth, thank you for always showing up for us and making us feel special. You are the best.

I am here on a Wednesday in mid-August, past the peak of tourist season, so no waiting (YAY)! I found the menu heavy on vodka drinks. I’d love to see more whiskey an gin creations. Still, it’s well worth the trip, so go check them out!

I go to Mammoth every time I am in Bellaire, TC or Central lake. They have good stuff, great atmosphere and cool swag!

Hunter at Traverse City location led an awesome bourbon blending experience. We had a blast learning about different bourbons and making our own blends to our individual tastes. The bar has a laid-back vibe and is worth a hangout.
