Paesano's Pizza Reviews
$30 for a 10” pizza. $2.50/topping on a 10” pizza. No meat. For that much, I shouldn’t even be able to see the actual pizza, but the pic shows otherwise. I especially loved the 1 slice of tomato that was cut up so there was just one small tomato piece per pizza slice. 🙄
I was there visiting and we where the only ones there other the few workers up front and the new owner Dudley, I proceeded to change my daughters diaper and he threw a huge fit and became extremely rude and disrespectful. Mind you I would
Not have done this in a restaurant full of people. I have been coming here since I was 7 after my experience there today I will not be returning.
Today, August 5th we got to Paesano’s a couple min after 3pm. We walked in and we were the only ones at the counter and a group of 3 guys had walked in behind us. We were not greeted by any 3 of the employees when we walked in. We had waited almost 5 min and the group of 3 walked out behind us. All 3 employees had looked at my family of 3 multiple times and not once did they say “Hi, Hello, or we will be with you in a min”. Paesano’s Pizza offers a mixed dining experience. The pizza is described as a little better than good, with some customers stating it is among the best they have had in a long time. While the prices are considered very expensive compared to other local pizza options, the restaurant is praised for its delicious specialty pizzas, including the barbecue chicken and the highly praised white pizza. The crust has been singled out as the absolute best, with a nice yeast smell and flavor that keeps customers returning. The selection of craft beers also adds to the appeal.
However, service has been noted as a concern, with slow and unfriendly staff and inconsistent lunch hours. Despite this, many customers appreciate the old-school atmosphere, with a comfortable interior that feels like the pizza shops from the past. The pizza is described as amazing, and the breadsticks are considered giant and a meal in themselves, with customers surprised by their size and quantity. Some reviews mention the availability of cold Faygo pops in bottles and old-school video games, enhancing the nostalgic vibe. The back patio provides a nice place to sit, and there is plenty of parking nearby, making it easy to find.
Paesano’s Pizza has been serving great pizza in downtown Traverse City for many years. Its longevity speaks to the quality of its food and staff. The weekday special, which includes a pop, pizza, and breadsticks for $5, is considered a fantastic deal and perfect for a quick bite. Overall, the interior has a relaxed, old-school feel, and the atmosphere is not pretentious—just good pizza and a friendly environment.
