Great atmosphere, food was great. My wife had the chicken and I had the rib fettuccine.

We were really nervous about the menu. Cost and fancy words on the menu made us unsure. However, the steak was AMAZING!

Pepenero is in my top 2 restaurants in TC. Food is amazing! Love the steak tartar appetizer among every other dish I've ever had. Tried the chicken with mushroom polenta this time (even though I rarely order chicken at a restaurant) and it was the best chicken I've ever had. So delicious. It's such a nice ambiance inside and staff is all super friendly and helpful. Brad was our server and he's amazing! Helped me decipher the menu in terms of what's gluten free and had great recommendations and he was so kind and attentive. Love this place! Give it a try! In my opinion it's an easy pick over the other italian restaurant next door. 😉

The charcute board was good but very expensive for the volume of food. The pasta was okay.It was,nt cooked. It was more aldente then i would like. Bread is available for 7 dollars. The teramsu was sixteen dollars and it was the size of a cupcake. A bottle of their lauren wine was fifty dollars. Atmostphere in the room was nice. The service was quick and very professional. Would try some other place next time.

Great food with even better service. Larry our server was phenomenal he understood the menu and helped us make good choices. I will say this place needs its own standalone building. Pulling up to what looked like an apartment complex was odd but I overall had a great experience.

Food was amazing, Brad is phenomenal. We will be back specifically asking for Brad. Very knowledgeable and kind. We were in a time crunch for our anniversary dinner due to a concert afterward. Brad 100% made us on time for our concert and still delivered an amazing experience. Cannot say enough good things about Brad.

Everything was incredible, we were blown away. The fettuccine ragu and tiramisu were the best I've ever had, and that's not a statement I make lightly. Can't wait to come again next time we visit Traverse City.

We had such a great experience at this restaurant. The branzino was the best I have had in a while. The drinks were excellent and the service was outstanding.

I don't rate 5 stars across the board like this.... but this place deserves it.
Everything was delicious... or was more than delicious, it was exquisite!
From the bread to the entrée... to the dessert and coffee. A extremely enjoyable night. It is pricey... but you get what you pay for.
Huge wine and liquor menu. I had a imported Italian light beer which was very good. The wife had a Dino margaritas... she seemed to enjoy very much. Atmosphere is extremely pleasant and seems to feel like a high end restaurant... which it is!
We very much enjoyed the place , and will need back with friends to share the experience again.

My friends and I had an extremely disappointing experience at Pepenero. From the moment we walked in, the front desk lady treated us with rudeness and complete lack of professionalism. Instead of being greeted warmly, we felt dismissed and unwelcome. Cannot rule out of there was a component of racism to it. They ruined what was supposed to be a nice evening out.

We left feeling disrespected and upset. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Traverse City has many wonderful places to dine, and Pepenero is certainly not one of them.
