You wouldn't expect such a nice meal in the hotel, this was our first experience at Reflect Bistro. Even though there are so many great restaurants to visit, we will be back again.

The place gets a five overall because of the food. The fruit is just outstanding and comes in a variety of special preparations and a lot of things to choose from. The Benedict's are excellent as is everything else. The locks plate is very generous and will send you home with breakfast for another day. We mainly go for breakfast or brunch, but have been for dinner and dinner is just as well. It does feel like you're sitting in a hotel eating area but once a food arrives, you can ignore that.

The food was not only delicious, but it was beautifully presented. Something as simple as a seafood pot pie was beautifully prepared and even included lobster. Crust was flaky, lobster bisque was creamy and the seafood was so tasty.

Our meals were good. The only thing that I thought was lacking was the near absence of vegetable dishes. Their presence would have given a five star rating. The service was good once they remembered we were there.

Thank you for being open on Christmas Eve, our server Sara was great! Our food was all very enjoyable; my husband's meal, short rib manicotti, was ok. Nothing wrong with it but nothing amazing. I had the amazing Calamari and the wedge salad was fantastic. Sara had the wedge split for us, which we really appreciated. Caymus by the glass was a very nice surprise too.

After reserving a table in the dining room, we were sat under forest in the very noisy bar. The server became very inattentive. My dinner was the worst food I have had in years. Served cold with fish that was within moments of being expired, sides that were very over cooked and less than room temperature, and a missing fish species not on the plate as promised. Whitefish cakes tasted like cold dirt. By the time the server returned after dinner was delivered, my quests were finished and it was time to go. Not our first time here and extremely disappointed.

The food was spot on (as always). Great presentation, flavor and fresh ingredients. Our wait person started out great ( attentive, nice personality, quickly bringing our drinks and appetizers); however pretty much disappeared for close to 15 minutes after serving our drinks and appetizers. We were ready to order entrees and I finally asked another wait person to find our wait person. That other wait person also cleared our table. Nice gesture! Our waitperson came out and offered her apology and took our entree orders. She also checked in on us after serving the entrees to ask if the entrees were to our liking. Later, (after finishing our entrees) the afore-mentioned other wait person cleared our dishes and brought our bill. No mention about our wait person. Strange experience (not the norm in our numerous previous visits to Reflect Bistro). We love this place. It's a true gem in the hierarchy of Traverse City dining offerings.

My friend and I both ordered the walleye sandwich. It was delicious! We asked for a side salad instead of the chips that came with the sandwich....and for a minor upcharge we got fabulous side salads. The sandwich included a large portion of walleye, and even the bun was fabulous. We both took a half of our sandwiches home! I have always enjoyed the great service, nice atmosphere, and varied menu at Reflections. We will be back!! Also.....our server, Mary Ann, was kind, fun, and knew that we wanted to talk a bit before we ordered. She was great! Thank you, Mary Ann!

Great food and service!! We had a Filet and Perch for dinner. Superb. Unusual but fantastic bread service. We returned for breakfast and had a hard time choosing between the tremendous variety. My wife had the Parfet and I had the Oatmeal with all the fruit, nuts you could want plus maple syrup as the sweetener for the Oatmeal. Omelletes looked fantastic. I own a high end restaurant and this one, while casual, serves great food!! Tim
