We came in last night during the very busy Cherry Fest and it was packed! There were only two servers, and we had Foster who did an amazing job! He was super polite, friendly and helpful, he was apologetic for the wait on our food and drinks, never complained about how hard he was working (you could totally see the pressure and stress) and the food was so good! We loved the options of both menus, and the Lychee martini was divine! The tenderloin salad was as well, and it was prepared...

We went for dinner and they were slammed because the summer holiday has started. Our server was very honest with us and in the end, we wound up getting our main course to go.
Our soup( The whiskey, corn crab chowder) and salad were delicious. When we got home and ate our main courses(The halibut, the ribeye and a gluten-free pasta dish), were even better. We so appreciate the service and the honesty from the Staff, that we did not have to wait any longer. We will definitely...

We were in Traverse City for our honeymoon and came to Slate for our “fancy” dinner night. The food was amazing and the service was great. The only downside is that some of the seating is too close to other people. We were right next to a family (our tables were 12 inches from eachother) that had two kids, and let’s just say one of the kids was not happy the entire time. It would’ve been a better atmosphere and more peaceful if we had more privacy. Wish we got a booth...
