This was our first time visiting Traverse City, and we were looking for a BBQ spot for lunch. The restaurant turned out to be a great choice—the food and atmosphere were both very good. Everything is made from scratch (our waiter joked, ‘except the ketchup and the buns’). We tried the pulled pork, which was tender and tasty, and the sides with the ‘pit version’ had a nice gourmet touch. Next time we’re in town, we’ll definitely be back to try the ribs.
Stopped here on our way home from Fish Town. Not crowded, simple atmosphere. We had the brisket panini and fries, and the Grilled salmon dinner, which were excellent. There appeared to be only 1 server at the time (around 3-3:30), but she was hustling. I did glimpse the hamburger someone near by ordered and it was huge!
We stopped in on vacation. The atmosphere had a cool vibe and the service was good. The food has mixed reviews. I suppose we expected the meat to be smoked but not everything else. The smoked mashed potatoes felt like someone whipped in burnt marshmallows in them....not everything needs to be smoked. We wished we had gone somewhere else for the price point.
