Sarah at Sweet Tartlette is wonderful! She did our wedding cake for our wedding in Traverse City this October. Our cake was absolutely stunning, and four tiers of yummy! Our guests ate all of the cake except for two pieces!! We were floored, but only so much because we knew how good the cake was. Sarah offers many flavor options, so there is absolutely something for everyone. You can tell she has studied the art of baking the perfect cake for a very long time, and it comes through in her creations. We were thrilled with every part of our wedding cake and thrilled that our guests enjoyed it so much that there was nothing left at the end of the night! One part of the cake if I had to pick one that we absolutely loved and so did our guests was the buttercream frosting. I’ve never had a cake with frosting this good! We highly recommend Sarah for all of your cake and confection needs!

Picked up a little cake on a whim here because I was in town from Petoskey, my husbands birthday was the next day and I don’t like any of the options in our town for a birthday cake. This is an ideal, absolutely perfect, quintessential cake imo. Moist, perfect crumb texture and the buttercream isn’t too sweet, flecked with vanilla bean and holds up beautifully. Plus it was a great price! I will definitely be back when I’m in town and would consider the extra effort to come all the way to you for a special occasion.

I got this cake for my birthday. I was really excited as this bakery was recommended to me. However, when I sliced it open, it was less “celebration” and more “punishment.”
The first bite was like chewing on drywall. Not even the good drywall—the kind that crumbles gently. No, this was the premium, industrial-grade sheetrock of cakes. It was so dry, I briefly considered calling FEMA. My fork practically sparked against it like I was trying to start a campfire.
As for the flavor—well, let’s just say it was the culinary equivalent of listening to someone explain printer settings. Bland. Lifeless. Tasteless.
The frosting, you ask? Completely void of sugar. Very strange.
The texture of the frosting was nice. It was pretty.
In short: if you’re ever stranded in the desert, bring this cake. It won’t hydrate you, but it’ll at least remind you what thirst truly feels like. Would not recommend unless you’re building an edible sandcastle.

Sweet Tartlette made the VERY DELICIOUS carrot cake for my husband’s 90th birthday party. Everyone said it was the very best they had eaten. I highly recommend Sweet Tartlette. Sarah decorated the cake from a special photo I gave her. She was thrilled to do it and it was PERFECT.
