The best sandwich and onion rings I’ve had in TC in a very long time. The Groovy Melt and rings were delivered hot and fresh even having traveled across town on a very cold and bleak day. Kudos!

I'm only leaving a 2 star rating instead of a 1 because I actually never got a chance to eat much less even order. My wife and I walked in for breakfast early on a Monday morning to a very sparsely filled dinning area. Since a small amount of customers were dining, my wife asked if we could sit in a booth rather than a table. We normally would not ask to take up a booth with only 2 of us eating, but since the place was nearly empty, we figured it didn't matter. But apparently the host/ greeter scanned the room and quickly replied, "nope, some of the booths are dirty and we expect large groups coming in later"! Not wanting to cause a scene and really, not a big deal, we sat at an un level table exactly in the center of several other tables . While sitting there for 5-7 minutes , we were never visited by a waitress, no; water, coffee, menus, etc. We saw the waitress several times as did she see us. Feeling we were not going to be acknowledged, we left after 10 minutes and went down the street to Bob Evans where we had an excellent experience! The pathetic thing is, the original host saw us leaving , (we actually crossed paths), never questioned why were leaving; no apology or explanation for the lack of service.

Wowzers. Slow slow slow. We ordered pancakes, eggs, bacon and fruit. I'm pretty sure there was only one person in the kitchen during prime time dinner hours. (Granted there were only 3 other tables that had people at them ). I'm fairly certain they all had their food already- hate to think what breakfast would be like if it was much busier. It was not very clean either. The saving grace was the fresh strawberries, yummy pancakes and gluten free English muffin.

If I could put 0 stars I would put 0, service incredibly slow (place was basically empty) food was extremely cold like it had been sitting out for 10-15 minutes and also bugs all on the seats by the windows will never be going to a dennys again bc of how bad the last few have been and this one put it over the top (with this being said they did say they were short staffed but our server was in NO RUSH to get to anybody and like I said place was basically empty) Take money somewhere else

Bizarre experience. Came around 10:30 on a Wednesday to a 90% empty restaurant. The guy at the front didn't acknowledge either of the groups that were waiting for a table and kept ignoring us and checking people out as they came up? Then when he was done ha started doing something else, again ignoring everyone. I asked if we could seat ourselves and he said no he would seat us. Ok so... was that going to be today or...? We finally just left. Very weird. Listen I get it, if you are busy I'm happy to wait 45 min with a smile on my place but this was straight up ignoring ppl.

I have eaten at Denny's frequently for five years and through thick and thin and COVID. Manager John and Christy have always seen to it I have good tasting food at an affordable price. They honor AARP, and their customers. Waitresses Sean and Nicole and helpers Terry, Javier, and cook Jacob and ? are always friendly, polite, and efficient. The Denny's menu is amazing with everything you could imagine and breakfasts are an absolute bargain! Both John and Christy have really helped me through personal tragedy and make me feel like family. For what more could a person ask?! Thank you all; Aloha, Monty

Dirty in back. Atmosphere is dirty. Parking lot is always disgusting. The two times we have eaten there was not great experiences. Took forever. Wrong order. Food was awful.

Need better cooks!! I think I would go more often if food was better...come on guys!! I hate to see you sit there all day and night long with no customers, maybe they need a new owner?

I do not know why, but kids seem even more hungry when they are here. Mac and cheese, Oh my! I personally love the skillets. The menu has great inviting pictures, that make me even more hungry. They are usually busy, but worth the wait. Color crayons for the tots with their own menu. How can we go wrong. Always plenty of parking, good desserts, a little of everything. They also take AARP card discounts. Love that feeding a group. That takes care of the tip! Fill up the kiddies and they'll sleep all the way home from the waterpark in Traverse City.

Haven't been in a Denny's in along time but I am glad we went to this location! The service was great, our waitress was super nice to us and the kids and very patient with us! The food was very good I highly reminded the slam fit ( for healthy options) while my husband on the other side got the Santa Fe skillet which was amazing! Spicy and flavorful not for the bland food loving people! Their kids menus is very diverse and there are so many options to choose from with pictures so the kids loved to order themselves! Would highly recommend it!

On our way up to Old Mission Peninsula for a wine event on a cold March Sunday. We stopped at the Denny's in Traverse City for lunch. It's been years since I've been in Denny's. The Traverse City location is very bright and cheerful and appears to be fairly new. We were greeted and seated promptly. The waitress promptly took our order and brought our coffees. My hamburger was very good and hit the spot. Don also enjoyed his eggs & bacon platter. We were in and out within an hour. Good coffee to boot.

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive. Good food lot's of it and very reasonable. Usually hit Don's drive in but they were slammed. Won't be an easy decision in the future.

Realizing restaurants are at 50% and that help is hard to find, we expect situations are not going to perfect. We arrived and were told it would be a 15-20 min wait. There was one man and a party of four ahead of us. After a few minutes, we were told the kitchen was backed up and they wouldn't be seating anyone for 30 minutes but they would seat us earlier if they could. The single man left and the party of four called Bob Evans and said there was no waiting. Since we had moved up to front of the line, we decided to give waiting a shot. Bad idea! As we continued to wait, at least 20 people came in and left after hearing about the 30 minute wait. One couple stayed and after people came in picking up carry-out orders, the couple asked if they were filling to go orders while we were standing their waiting. The manager said yes. They were upset and left and told them to quit answering their phones and seat customers who had bothered to come in. He said, "yeah, right..we're going to quit answering our phones." I told him that they (the couple) wasn't wrong. He said, "we're not going to quit taking to go orders." At that point, after having already been their 30 minutes and discerning even if we were sat and ordered the food would be another at least 30 minutes, we left and went to Bob Evans. We were seated immediately and had our food in 15 minutes. Bob Evans told us their strict policy is seated customers before carry-out. Denny's screwed this one up big time.
