We showed up around 1030pm on a Thurs night in Jan 2024. The bar was dead despite there being a DJ there. The bartender was very sweet and helpful. We stayed about 2 hours dancing and paying the DJ to play better music. There was about a dozen people there and they were chill. Loved that they had nonalcoholic beers, and good ones too! We'd come back!

I was in town visiting a friend last night and we stopped by here on a whim and had the most wonderful time. Dave, the bartender/manager, was the absolute best and had the patience of a saint dealing with a couple tipsy girls! He was extremely polite and cordial and gave us multiple (amazing!) drink recommendations when we asked him for some. It was a really pleasant and fun experience. The vibes are also very chill, there’s plenty of tables and seating, good music, and there’s an area in the front to dance if you want to. Definitely worth coming here!

This is a great place to meet other people who love a great time. I myself am a punk rocker. Love life and playing pool with great music and service. Highly recommend if in the traverse city area!

Great live venue bar. Awesome staff. A very safe place for the ladies to party. Security is taken seriously. My recommendation is, don't find out. Food is nextdoor @ the double wide.

Great bands, I just miss the old days with food. When people are drinking they need food.

Corrie and Jan are both amazing bartenders and the prices are great. Many weekly specials and events consistently, good atmosphere, a true locals bar.

Just saying. Next door at the double wide the long island is $8. Cash. Here it is $12. I can see if the double was $9 and here was $10, but seriously! Compete with your neighbors! And I didn’t even get a lemon for $6 more which in reality is another drink. I was here once before and was disappointed. I tried again and fail. Just be cool, laid back, advertise, be known as a local place and tourists will come. You are none of the above. I want to tip the bartender more but can’t because of your price gauging.

Usually very loud in here and you WILL be harassed outside the entrance, by both people and bouncers.

i do not go to this pit, but the bouncer that likes to get involved with stuff in front of other peoples bar, you are going to have an awakening! when union st. stations bouncer s***** punches people coming out of bootleggers, you are going to have the law; involved. i would personally, handle this but not worth it! the bouncer from friday night is a punk! now union st. can deal with the ramifications!
