The staff did not seem engaged in making our Hibashi experience memorable. I was with my son and father, both of whom were expecting a cooking show atmosphere. Instead, we encountered a very routine cooking process with no smiles or warmth from the staff. They appeared to be in a hurry to take our orders and didn't take the time to explain the experience or offer recommendations. Our table quickly became cluttered with leftovers, and it took a long time for the waiter to clear it away. Overall, it was not a great experience.

Dear Benihana Team, I am writing to share a concern about my dining experience at your restaurant yesterday. I want to emphasize that this was not the waitress's fault, but rather a misunderstanding caused by unclear menu wording. When the waitress asked if I wanted “hibachi chicken,” I misunderstood and thought she meant chicken fried rice . Under that assumption, I agreed. I also ordered 3 extra shrimp and 2 extra steak for our fried rice. However, I was shocked when the final bill totaled nearly $350. I later found that I was charged about $173 before tax for four full hibachi chicken entrées, which I never intended to order. To be honest, if I had known it was charging me for full entrées, I would have simply ordered the $39 per person deal instead. We had only 4 adults and 2 kids, and we did not order any alcohol. Paying $350 for essentially one fried rice meal does not make sense and was extremely disappointing. I kindly request that you review the check and consider an adjustment or partial refund based on this misunderstanding. I truly enjoy Benihana, and I hope we can resolve this matter fairly.
