We've always enjoyed CT!! The ambiance is fantastic! We had a party of 4 last night. For the most part, all enjoyed their meal. I, however, had the Shepherds Pie which was less than enjoyable. The meat was incredibly dry, the peas were like steel pellets, no carrots. The mashed potatoes were on the dry side. I should have sent it back, but didn't want to delay the evening. Our server, Anna, was most delightful!
A huge bummer that the amazing potato chip walleye that used to be served in this rustic way- in foil with the walleye covered in cheese and full size potato chips crisped up like it was cooked over the campfire- is now served on a plate, no foil, no cheese and with crushed up potato chips that come off more like a panko breadcrumbs. We were told that the new owners changed it up. 🫤
Palm Sunday lunch was very slow service due to two bridal showers getting priority. We dine here frequently and have never had to wait so long for service. We even had to hunt down our server to get the check. Very disappointing.
