We visited Charminar Biryani House for the lunch buffet at around 1:30 PM. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations.
The buffet selection felt limited and did not include snack items. The spread included bhature with aloo, rava halwa, noodles, and in the main course chicken tandoori, chicken Manchurian, chicken keema, butter chicken, another chicken gravy with butter naan. Vegetarian options were chole, palak paneer, and a few additional dishes. More importantly, the taste was below average. Considering the price, we expected much better quality and variety.
The main concern, however, was the billing. We clearly informed the staff that we were 2 adults and 1 child. Our daughter ate only about three pieces of chicken and a small bite of butter naan. Despite this, we were charged $12.99 for her, which is close to the adult buffet price of $29.98. While we understand restaurants have policies, charging almost an adult rate for a child who ate very little felt disproportionate and disappointing.
We left feeling that the value did not match the cost. We hope management reviews both the food quality and the pricing approach for children so future customers have a better experience.

I called around 9:20 PM to ask if it was still possible to dine in. I completely understand that it was close to closing time, but I was surprised by how rude the response felt. I was only asking a simple question and expected a more polite reply. Customer service and tone really matter, even when the restaurant is about to close.
The food is fantastic! So fresh and delicious! Great variety! Our server was very attentive. Very enjoyable experience! I will be back!!!

I ordered from Uber Eats. The food tasted good, but I noticed some dried leftover rice in between. Hope this can be improved.

Terrible experience all around, If you’re in the mood for Indian food, I’d probably take my business elsewhere.

The worst mutton biryani I have had in my life. The mutton pieces were not cooked properly; they were like raw, and when I was eating this, it felt like I was eating beef.

I’ve been here for the buffet before and it was pretty decent but then I ordered out and it was a pretty lousy experience. The Channa Masala was tolerable although too salty, but the Dal Tadka was actually inedible: so salty and there was almost something that tasted rancid about it, I felt somewhat ill after eating only a small amount. The garlic naan was okay but it had gotten very soggy by the time I ate it (I’m sure better in restaurant). I also had to wait for an additional 20 minutes after I was quoted for my food to arrive. So maybe consider the buffet but a definite no on the takeaway.

One of worst service. They made us waited for 1 HR for buffet and when it’s our turn they said they are closed, which is very frustrating , never visiting them again

Excellent food. I highly recommend the buffet.
Ordered cheesy naan with my order (which for two was $8 more with my order than regular naan) and was given regular naan. Couldn’t get a refund. Won’t be ordering here again.

I’ve tried many restaurants in Michigan never had such good food before. Ive been here so many times already. This restaurant has amazing food. They offers delicious lunch buffet with a variety of options, with different and new dishes everyday. Super nice owner, Friendly staff, clean and sleek design, and reasonable prices. Highly recommend! 😊👏

Asked for extra meat, they asked $3. I didn't want to pay $3. Told them to give regular biriyani. They just gave rice only. What a joke. We ordered two biriyani worth $35.

This is just my first time trying this indian food in this reaturant. AND I will NEVER EVER ORDER OR VISIT this restaurant!!! Food taste is horrible! Chicken curry is very salty and oily. It's so bad even think it was spoiled! Didn't take picture because I throw it right away! Didn't even give sweet chutney to my Samosa order!!! Gulab Jamun is old as you can see already like burnt because it is old! and so hard! Maybe because the reason is I ordered last minute and I didn't know that, but still I just wasted my money! Don't ORDER YOU WILL JUST BE DISAPPOINTED!!! Train your staff to meet your standard even if it's last order!
