First time customers (7/12/2025). We needed to find a new BBQ place to satisfy our taste buds since SHEETZ is taking over 12 & Mound. WE FOUND IT.
Ordered the Judges' sampler to try their variety. Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Baked Beans and Hush Puppies are ALL EXCELLENT. The Coleslaw could have been a bit creamer, but we didn't come here for veggies or salad. Loved their sauces as well. We will definitely be back and bringing friends.
My husband and I ate there when they first open. Food was gross meat was dry and the sides where "give it back" types of dishes. We will never eat there again. The best BBQ Restaurant in the surrounding area is BAD BRADS in Shelby Twp. JMO!
Hands-down, some of the best bbq, you can get in Metro-Detroit. I know many people would disagree with me, but I like it better than Slow’s or the Woodshop, any day. City BBQ’s meat is consistently better, more flavorful, the sauces offered are interesting (love the green chile!), and the staff is always kind. City BBQ is also significantly cheaper than the other afore-mentioned bbq joints. If you live in Metro-Detroit, go try it! It’s SO good!
