Ambiance was great! The space is not a standard open seating space but multiple rooms but with an open concept with each room having its key features. One had a huge fireplace another with the bar had the garage converted to dining. The seating and interior are also interesting. The Tacos are the right size, right cost so you can order multiple. They have experimented with the flavors and they have at the mark. You talked over the Korean BBQ was the most interesting

Went to Gran Castor last night. Would not recommend. Had the Mac and cheese, sweet potato taco and shrimp taco. Shrimp taco was not even edible. Mac and cheese was dry. My friend had the beef burrito and had like 2 bites , it was terrible. Told the waitress that. It wasn’t removed from the bill and no manager came by to ask how everything was. Well it’s 5 am and my stomach is still churning from what I ate. Service was ok. Would NOT RECOMMEND

Yikes! Last time I was here a few years ago I got food poisoning. Today a Thursday at noon waited over an hour for 2 meat and cheese tacos I can make in 5 minutes myself with fresh meat not old burned meat at home. No chips and salsa just a water to wait. I can't believe this place has the same owners as the Clarkston union. Also the servers coupd not multi task only 1 thing at a time. The kitchen had a 10 top it was serving 2 meals at a time every 5 minutes like what a joke. If people are sitting together they need their foid at the same time. Maybe the drinks are good I doubt it though I didnt even see a bartender.

First very slow. 2nd and most distressing was that one of the cooks/servers had a long beard that was not covered. I was disgusting. The food was poor overcooked and also pricy.

A Mexican style Hipster burger bar. NO FREE CHIPS & SALSA you can’t be a Mexican restaurant without free chip & salsa. Prices are expensive for the amount of food you actually get. Waitress was rude when we had questions about the menu and barely ever came to the table. Larger portions and FREE CHIPS & SALSA and I would come back.

Rough past few orders - not sure if we’re under new management or what but the kitchen just seems to be rushing things out with little to no attention to temperature or contents. I ordered the classic burrito today to-go and it was barely cooked through… the shredded cheese inside was still cold, barely any chicken, TONS of beans (in addition to the side of beans you already get was overkill), and just all wrapped up in a gooey, undercooked tortilla. I’ll keep coming back with hopes of improvement but I expect a little more out of a $25 burrito.

Great chef inspired menu.
I do miss the fusion dishes they had in previous years.
Their tacos are delicious and seasoned spectacularly.
Their wood fired pizzas are always perfection.
The Elote pizza hits all taste buds, salty, sweet, tangy, sour.
The sweet pea guacamole Is great. The chips look like they use hand made corn tortillas.
Drinks and beer selection are very nice as well.

I want to love this place. It’s so close to being awesome, but it’s a notch down from the last time I visited. Food was middle of the road - salad was fresh. Atmosphere is nice, although it’s starting to show wear and tear. The bathroom was so, so dirty. I had kids with me and it was awful. I would give it another chance in hopes that it was a one time thing.

You just can't go wrong with the Atmosphere of this place. I sat at a booth but stared jealously at the folks using what looked like the comfiest bar stools ever.
... It just occurred to me that places must use uncomfortable bar stools at the bar to keep folks rotating through! Not here though. You've got leather and comfort waiting at their bar.
We had the queso appetizer and a round of wet burritos for the companions and taco night, carne asada tacos for myself. Filling and Tasty!
