Haven’t been her in ages and likely won’t return for many more ages. Sat at bar and was a good 10 minutes to be acknowledged. Ordered a drink went to bathroom and someone new sitting next to me, he orders and received his drink within minutes meanwhile still no drink for me. Our appetizers arrive and I cancel my drink. The $22 salad comes and it’s tiny with barely any dressing. Many other better restaurants to choose from. No water refill. Three bar tenders not really a reason for such poor service.

Tonight was the BEST dining experience I’ve had in I don’t know how long!! Josh was our server and he was absolutely fabulous!! He was prompt and friendly and very kind explaining why the prime rib comes out pink (it is supposed to!! But he explained it well and kindly!!) AND he still took it back to the kitchen when my friend was still uncomfortable with the color and they seared it very nicely without damaging the quality of the cut. My friend was VERY pleased!! Cannot say enough how wonderful the entire experience was!!! Oh yeah, the rest of us had the artichoke hearts and deviled eggs as appetizers, the Pecan Encrusted Trout (AMAZING!!) and the Cilantro Shrimp (fantastic) and the French Dip (quite good!!) every bite was delicious and again, Josh is just the kindest server I’ve had in I don’t know how long!!

Always a great time at J Alexander. Overall, I had an excellent dining experience thanks to my waitress, who was wonderful and provided great service. I did notice, however there was a server , (I asked around her name is) Arie, made me feel a bit uncomfortable because she was standing and passing very close to me several times while frowning and giving unpleasant looks. It felt unnecessary and made the atmosphere uncomfortable. It felt intrusive and uncomfortable, almost as if she was intentionally hovering nearby. Please look into this matter.

Closed the doors 20 min before closing time if you have to stop talking orders just change your closing time honestly

Janel was absolutely amazing! She was very kind and attentive and we appreciate her service more than words could have expressed!!!

I sat at the bar tonight with a girlfriend and had the most amazing bartender… I wanted to give a shout out to Kaitlyn… she was fast, efficient in the sweetest ever… thank you Kaitlyn!!!

I came here once to grab a drink with a friend, and Josh was our bartender — he was AMAZING! We ended up laughing and chatting with him the whole time, and I had an absolute blast. He gave great recommendations and really knows the menu inside and out. I’ve been back twice since and made sure to sit with Josh again. He’s just such a fun, genuine person to be around. If you ever come here, definitely ask for him! The food and drinks are also amazing. I’ve been coming here for a long time, and I’m always so happy every time I leave!

They have been in business too long to tell people that don’t take reservations. When you need one coming here. Use to be a great place but not so much.

My friend told me he wanted to take me out to lunch and we ended up here. Everything was phenomenal. The waiter Devon is a great guy. I had a great lunch.

Great waitress today , but I didn’t finish my prime rib , it had a chemical taste to it , gave the leftovers to my brother and just got a call from him saying it wasn’t good and threw it out !! But he had the same order I did !!! I’m wondering if the plate it was on wasn’t clean of the cleaning solution??? I never had any problems before, even the salads were delicious!!

I was pretty disappointed. I heard great things and have always wanted to come by. So I figured my wife and I would go for our anniversary. The wait staff were great. However, the rest of the experience was subpar. We had to request different silverware and water cups because they were dirty and they were just water spots. They had some crusty food stuck to them. We each ordered the filet mignon butterfly medium well. My Wife’s came out fine but mine was not butterflied and it was more medium rare so I had to ask them to cook it a little bit more. Each steak came with a loaded baked potato that looked delicious but both of ours were kinda cold to luke warm. On the plus side we did like the deviled eggs and Mac and cheese. Also the chocolate cake was pretty good too.

I had a great experience here. I had a creamy chicken pasta soup. It was like a pot pie minus crust plus pasta. It was delicious. I had Avocado bomb. Avocado w crab and tuna. Also good and a big portion. Also had Kentucky Old Fashion also very good. Service also stellar.

The food isn’t good anymore. My prime rib was not a prime rib. Furthermore, it was dry and tasted like lunch meat. The cook didn’t really flame grill the steak. He just roasted it and added grill marks. Drinks were terrible as well. I will not be coming back!
