Really going to miss this restaurant it's the only extremely awesome Chinese restaurant in metro Detroit area. I've been going here for 20+ years and I've never had an experience that was less than satisfying. Always great service, great food, friendly staff that remembers you when you come in. So sad to see it ending.
Have always loved this place, over 30yrs. Mgr special is gluten free & tastes great - Veggie, chicken or shrimp! Classic look & feel from inside out. Margaret and family- you are a Troy treasure!
I have been going here since I was young. The family owned restaurant is a landmark of Troy. Everything was always excellent and it will be sorely missed. Thank you for all of the good memories.
Excellent food and service! So sorry they are closing. Lots of great meals and memories!
This is the best Chinese food I have ever had. I've been on a mission to find the best and have never eaten at the same restaurant twice. I can confidently say I've tried almost every Chinese restaurant in metro Detroit. This is it. This is the one. The chicken was so tender the rice was soft and tasted amazing, fried chicken dumplings were to die for. Our waitress was very nice and funny-genuinely, witty make you legitimately laugh funny. I'll never go anywhere else.
Wonderful food as always. Happy retirement. Will miss this restaurant once they close at the end of the month.
Kim's is a traditional Chinese resturant that has decor right out of the 1970's. It is large so never a wait. Order the Cantonese specials or food by number and enjoy large portions. Take out is fast and good as well.
First time here, referred by a friend. I enjoyed the food and the huge selection of food choices on the menu. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Only reason for the 4 star rating instead of the 5, was because it seemed fairly dark in the restaurant. Not sure if some lights were off or if lights were burned out. Other than that I enjoyed my experience and will be back!
This is a classic example of the genre, American Chinese food. A long time favorite in the area as shown by the newspaper articles and mentions in the press this restaurant allows one to feel as though you have stepped back in time.
I''ve been going to Kim's Chinese for over 40 years. It's still my favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is great & the service is awesome!

Great food at reasonable prices.
This is the best place to get Chinese food because it's so good and yummy food and my favorite is chicken chop suey with white rice and won ton soup and their famous hot tea and I sure will go there again for sure and I like the owner she is very sweet lady
Our first time here today for dinner. The service was really nice and friendly. The food was also good. The soup was also okay not the finest. The serving quantity was huge. Have leftovers for the next meal too. There was an amazing flow of people in and out of the restaurant .
This is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is delicious, huge quantities, prices are so reasonable. The Cantonese Chicken Noodle Soup is a whole meal. You have to try the rolls. The Almond Boneless Chicken is Detroit-style and is the best with large slices of chicken breast.
The owner Margaret is about as nice as you could find! The food is phenomenal and everyone is always willing to help make your experience amazing. 5 star Chinese for sure!
