Really going to miss this restaurant it's the only extremely awesome Chinese restaurant in metro Detroit area. I've been going here for 20+ years and I've never had an experience that was less than satisfying. Always great service, great food, friendly staff that remembers you when you come in. So sad to see it ending.

Have always loved this place, over 30yrs. Mgr special is gluten free & tastes great - Veggie, chicken or shrimp! Classic look & feel from inside out. Margaret and family- you are a Troy treasure!

I have been going here since I was young. The family owned restaurant is a landmark of Troy. Everything was always excellent and it will be sorely missed. Thank you for all of the good memories.

Ordered carry out last night , it was pure salt no flavor, cold soggy egg roll, mushy over boiled fried rice , terrible quality food. Yup it's definitely time to retire Kim's .

Kim's was alright. It was a little unimpressive. The service was decent, even though they were pretty busy. I think I just didn't like what I ordered. If you like sesame chicken, but you don't like it drowned in sauce, I would suggest maybe NOT ordering the sesame chicken. I just felt like I was getting more sauce than chicken, and I wasn't a huge fan of that. My friend had ordered the happy family, however, which was delicious! Their dinner rolls and soup were good, not a bad experience. I think I would've rated it lower if I didn't know they had better options, so shout out to my friend for ordering something better! :)

This is the best Chinese food I have ever had. I've been on a mission to find the best and have never eaten at the same restaurant twice. I can confidently say I've tried almost every Chinese restaurant in metro Detroit. This is it. This is the one. The chicken was so tender the rice was soft and tasted amazing, fried chicken dumplings were to die for. Our waitress was very nice and funny-genuinely, witty make you legitimately laugh funny. I'll never go anywhere else.

Wonderful food as always. Happy retirement. Will miss this restaurant once they close at the end of the month.

The food has no taste and the staff is cold and takes forever to get your food let alone the bill or a to go box. We had the shrimp fried rice and the veggie fried rice and IMO it was unbelievably bland . Avoid at all costs and spend somewhere else

I'm really astounded by all the positive reviews on Yelp. I can't remember a time where I've eaten such bland Chinese food. I specifically ordered the Szechuan shrimp combo because it's supposed to have a kick. There was absolutely no flavor to any of the food I ate. The best part of my meal was the bread and water. Also, the interior is really drab and there are no windows in the restaurant so it's pretty dark. Echoing what another reviewer said, the clanking of the carts drove me insane. I'm sorry to say this, but I'm glad it will be closing soon.

Sadly Kim's is closing 9/1/19. The owners are retiring. I started coming here with my parents almost 40 years ago. I'll miss them. I wish a happy retirement for the family

This was one of the best Chinese restaurants my wife and I been to, food was well seasoned as well as great servings and great prices, we live in Belleville and we were not at all disappointed to take the hour ride.

Have been to Kims several times and enjoyed it very much. Recently read that Kim's was one of the top ten places making very good almond boneless chicken. So when we went there today for lunch I ordered the chicken and oh my goodness it is so delicious. I will have a hard time in the future ordering anything else on this menu. Also, just a note, the staff at Kim's is so nice and so helpful. They really make you feel welcomed.

Kim's is a traditional Chinese resturant that has decor right out of the 1970's. It is large so never a wait. Order the Cantonese specials or food by number and enjoy large portions. Take out is fast and good as well.
