We came on Sunday around 5 pm and many options we wanted were out and could not order either. But the food was pretty good

Food: 4 stars (a delicious selection but sometimes rolls are sloppy and lids seem locked on...so be careful friend!)
Atmosphere: 5 stars (could be cleaner)
Staff: 4 stars (very quick when I requested fork after dropped fork, very appreciated!! But the energy level def varies. Sometimes I come and the announcement is loud and the response from kitchen is louder! When I came with my son & his friend...non at all. Please staff!! 🙏 this is a very cool part of the experience, even when it is lunch rush)
Overall: I LOVE this place! Such a cool experience for your anime fan. Robots serving drinks, cartoons when you complete plates, even the plate return is fun!

Better experience at the novi location! For starters the host was rude. The sitting area is uncomfortable, there were people facing us from the side of the convert-a belt while we were eating. Almost nothing on the belt and not the ambience we were looking for. Kinda felt like eating at a mall. I would give it 2/5.

Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere for kids with the robot waiter and conveyer belt and prize.

Interesting concept. Food was just okay. Service was fast and attentive. A bit loud but it seems like most restaurants are these days.

I was really craving sushi so I decided to try Kura revolving sushi bar. The sushi tasted okay. But every time we wanted to try a certain sushi it wasn't on the revolving server. The items that we wanted or not on the electronic menu. There's only a hostess there's no waiters or waitresses around to ask for a certain menu item.

The waiting area is way too small to accommodate the amount of people in this place... we were quoted 30 minutes and left when 30 minutes was up because there was still no seating available. SHOULD HIGHLY consider having call ahead reservations... not reservations when you walk in.

It's looks nice, but there weren't much to pick out. They pretty much do the same thing over and over again. It's ashamed. But the fish dessert was really good. And the robot was cute❤️ also it's super expensive!!!

To start-my husband and I are big fans of Kura sushi! We have visited locations in Japan but have not gotten the chance to visit any in the U.S until now.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food-however one part of our experience really ruined it. The restaurant closes at 9pm and we assumed that is also indicative of when the kitchen closes and when you are cut off from placing orders. We tried to place an order for Sake at 8:45pm and then we went to place a dessert order at 8:50pm. A server came by and alerted us that the kitchen was already closed and we could not order anything else and the Sake would not be coming. We were so excited for dessert and a last drink and that really ruined the end of our meal.
To be clear-there is nothing wrong with the kitchen closing, although I would expect it to be 9pm when the restaurant closes. The issue is that absolutely no one told us that orders cut off early. We would have ordered everything in advance to avoid this issue!! Management should know: tell people when you intend to stop taking orders because you are quite literally leaving money on the table.

My Husband has been wanting to go here for a couple months now and we finally went late in the afternoon on a Saturday. The wait was 30 minutes which we expected. I found out there is a app you can download and get out on the wait list. Next visit we will be doing that. Everything we tried was great. The plate slot was dirty and clean ness could be a little bit better or I would of gave 5 stars.

They overcooked the Philly tempura roll and it’s FREEZING in here - the heater isn’t working right and it’s 22 degrees outside. Completely miserable experience this time. I am shivering cold with a sweater, sweat jacket and a heavy winter jacket on while trying to eat. Barely anything was on the conveyer belt this time too, I watched the same empty plates go around and around. Most food had to be ordered on the screen since the belt was 10% full, if that.

No signs posted that the heater is acting up either until you ask if they have the heat on.

I would love to give this lovely sushi bar a 5 out of 5, but it was a little lackluster this time around. Unfortunately the belts are never filled or have anything on them so to get the full experience you will be disappointed. The sushi itself is absolutely delicious and the desserts are so good. I highly recommend going here for the experience as well as the food.
