I ordered sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice. I should've known that i wasn't getting what I paid for when the bag was light. I opened it up and it was only a spoon full of rice with 4 shrimps. About 10pcs of unseasoned chicken. I called back and let them know how small my portion was and he referred me to the manager. She said she will give me more next time. I told her it will never be a next time. The food was disgusting by the way. The guy was very friendly though.

This place was disgusting. Rice was just browned, no veggies. The sesame chicken was over battered and soggy on the inside and the sauce was not good. The eggroll had a big ugly shrimp in it, I didn't order a shrimp eggroll. The other eggroll was cold like it had just came out the fridge. I will never go there again.

This place is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Troy and is the only one that has come close to Kims since they closed. The food and service is always great. This most recent time we got carryout and they forgot our sweet and sour chicken. We called them and the main employee guy (the owners son? from my understanding) came and delivered it to our house HIMSELF. I have never had a restaurant offer to do this before, let alone a restaurant like this one that doesn't have many employees.
They also for some reason have pina coladas if you are dining in which seems quite unusual for a chinese restaurant but I'm 100% here for it. Who doesn't like options?
The only downside is the building itself is a bit shabby/suspicious looking, but the service and food make that easy to ignore.
Food is fresh and very good. Staff is friendly. The atmosphere is very nice, kinda cozy with booths.
Very disappointed. First time dining in. Had to stop at the ladies room before sitting down and I am not joking when I say this it felt like I was in a horror movie run down house that was falling apart. The bathroom was absolutely filthy. No toilet paper as well. The floor is crumbling apart as well as very dirty walls and the woman’s sanitary dispenser is rusting away. Thought maybe from the old appearance this was a hole in the wall place that we discovered and the food would be great. Started with the wonton soup and it was great. Our server was also very attentive and kind. That’s why they get 2 stars for service. Upon getting our lunch both dishes heavily lacked flavor. It was not in anyway a good meal. A few bits in I discover a white piece of hair in my food. Brought it to the servers attention immediately and brought over the owner. The owners response was “is everything good? Are you okay?” Yes I’m ok but no I’m not good. I felt disgusted and could no longer eat my food. They offered to replace the dish but I declined due to not having an appetite anymore. What the owner meant by “are you good is everything ok?” Was because we weren’t getting that meal taken off of our bill. I get business may be slow and the server did mention they will be closing their doors soon I assume they need every penny possible to live off off. Sure I understand but DO RIGHT by your customers. Needless to say we will never return and this was the wordy dining experience I’ve had in quite some time.
Total disappointment my family ate here for many years they don't even fill the containers of food but maybe halfway
The Best Chinese Restaurant in Michigan.
I love New China!
I love the Gung Bo Shrimp. My brother first discovered this place back in the 1990s. My girlfriend likes the food too and often orders beef fried rice, which she likes. Very friendly people there, but I think I've only eaten there in person twice, so I gave a three stars for atmosphere. I am just neutral on the atmosphere because I don't have much experience.

I was having a rough day and dealing with stomach issues and really wanted some soup. My boyfriend surprised me with egg drop soup and it was amazing, made me feel so much better. It was still very hot and very tasty.
My boyfriend got the Mongolian beef and he said it was delicious. He also said the gentleman at the front was very kind and helpful. If you are thinking about trying this place I recommend you absolutely should!
Delicious, good quality food and such friendly, sweet staff!

I decided to try this place out and I gotta say I’m really impressed. I got the sesame chicken and crab rangoons and the quality of the chicken was heads and shoulders better than the other place close by I had been going to. These crab Rangoons are significantly better than what I’ve had in the last few years. Prices are pretty good too, give it a try
