Old Detroit Burger Bar – Troy

We stopped in for a quick lunch around noon. Service was very fast, and friendly. The food came out piping hot and the waffle fries were some of the best we've ever had.
Husband had the burger with corned beef and thousand island and the meat was generous.
I had the Warren Ave burger. Both burger patties were cooked to a perfect medium per our request and seasoned well.
They also have a full bar and seasonal cocktail and appetizer menu and trivia on Thursdays.
Will definitely be back!

I prefer to have fresh hand Petty ground beef free Frozen burger patties for the amount of the burger it should be fresh ground beef

Pictures look great and reviews seemed decent but I was deceived. We ordered 2 of the slider meals with extra onions and pickles. 1 pickle and a few bits of onion. We agreed, times are tough and everyone is trying to save money right? Not that big a deal! After adding condiments and we had been talking them up they gotta be good from a "burger" place! Wah wah wah.....huge upset. The wife didn't finish 1 and I gave a 2nd a try but ended up pitching them.
2 slider and fry meals, 1 hotdog w/o a bun and frys (kid meal) and kids mac and cheese. 52$ learning where not to eat......priceless. thanks for the experience but we won't be back.
*Side note the frys were pretty good!

My rating is because it took 15 minutes to have a server notice us and take our orders.
Then it took about 45 minutes for us to get our food.
With a toddler, that wasn't fun. Our waiter never came over to let us know the kitchen was behind, until she brought the food.

22 dollars for salmon that tasted mushy and fishy, it claimed to have a red lobster sauce but, it was literally Campbell's tomato soup.

The mixed veggies were just warmed up, and bland, my rice was crunchy. Definitely like food they just reheated in the microwave. My bfs food was just as gross.

Will not be returning.

Food was fantastic, service was really good, atmosphere was pretty good. Had the Russel street burger, it was cooked as ordered, came out very hot and fresh. Would definitely recommend.

Went for a lunch meeting. The burger had no seasoning and tasted like processed meat and not real ground beef. My son even sent his burger back. It wasn’t the greatest experience. I probably won’t return..at least to this location.
