Very good service, refilled water/bread quickly. Brought out side dishes very fast. Food was excellent and didn’t take too long to bring out after ordering. Very good place i recommended

Another well established restaurant hanging on by the laurels of their past. The service was fine. The ambience was dated but nice. The food was just not on par with the prices. My baseline Italian dish is a good lasagna. If you can make me a great lasagna I'll be back. I gotta say Picano's lasagna looked and tasted like it came out of a Gordon's Food Service box. Edible but totally forgettable! I was actually relieved the portion size was small but at $27 a plate I felt a taken for a ride. My wife's dinner fared no better. She has Beef Tips on Mushroom Risotto. Canned mushrooms on a $30 entree plate! Seriously! The gravy was made inedible by amount of salt used in the sautéed onions. I told her to send it back but she said prefers to vote with her feet. We won't be back again. Too many great Italian restaurants in the 'D'!

The serving sizes are generous and all the food we had was good, except the spicy sausage was very mild.

I came because of recommendations from other people, place is nice has an old school feel to it, was seated got my menu the first thing I noticed is this place is a bit more expensive then other Italian restaurants that are popular that’s alright as long as the food is good, apps come out they’re alright at best the food comes out it’s good but the other Italians restaurants I frequent (Luciano’s, Francesco’s) put out way better food, for the price Picanos is not worth it.

A fork full of angel hair pasta, a pinch of salt, and a blend of olive oil with roasted garlic immediately transported me to Roma. The simplicity of minimal and freshly made ingredients is all it took for me to commit to coming back again soon. Until then... ciaoVegetarian options: A variety of pasta and salad dishes can be ordered without animal ingredients.
