Beautiful place! The pierogies were outstanding.
Wow wow wow wow wow.Last night my girlfriend and I were discussing what we should have for dinner. She says to me "I want to try that Polish place in Troy!", which I said "Oh, yeah! Polish Market is great", thinking we were going grocery shopping for a nice home cooked meal. As we arrived and I tried parking in the Markets side of the lot, she informed me she was referring to this place called "Polka" across the way. I didn't even know this place opened. Last time I visited this plaza, that building was unoccupied.Well, I am glad she suggested this! The place upon initial impression was surprisingly nice. A lot of murals, a very beautiful bar, and nice and comfortable seating. As we were going through the menu we realized that this place is very fair on pricing (Average $12-15 person, some entrees can be a little more expensive).I ordered the polish combo which consisted of a stuffed cabbage, kielbasa link, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and 3 pierogis (choice of flavor was potato cheddar). Everything on that plate was great. Bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. While it took a little while to come out after ordering, you could tell it's because they care about the quality of the food they send out.The service is really great as well. The servers wear Polish outfits and are super friendly. To my surprise, our server actually spoke Polish fluently! While I had no idea what she was saying, it was cool to listen to her take another tables order.Definitely come here if you're into authentic Polish food and don't want to make the drive all the way to Hamtramck.
One of my favorite places to eat. good location, well organised, and fantastic service. Keep it up!
Great friendly atmosphere, great authentic Polish ethnic atmosphere with wall murals, curtains, dinner ware and more. Food is good price, great taste, well made, Polish potato pancakes are my favorite as they are tasty not greasy the way they should be. The soups mushroom and pickle I've had are delicious. Just wish they offered both types of kraut, I like sour kraut and they serve a sweet kraut, it's good I just prefer sour over sweet. I'm glad the restaurant is here also they have a banquet area and next door is the Polish Market so you can shop there and have your meal at the restaurant, a win-win great planning to have it all in one place.
Food is very good, nice flavor, good for a change from the typical restaurant. The service still is very lacking. You should pay them a visit, just don't get your hopes up that the servers will be very attentive.
Food outstanding, service excellent, atmosphere delightful !!
We drive from toledo Ohio and were there at noon on a sunday and got right in! The waitress was amazing, the food was amazing and it came in a quick manner!! The restaurant was super clean also!!! We would highly recommend this place for great polish food!!!
Food made fresh with lots of care. Presentation is excellent. Place is spotless. Servers are friendly, prompt and answered our questions cheerfully. The food was amazing. Quality and authentic polish flavors.
Great food, service, and decor. Everything shouts authentic Polish. 2 thumbs up!
Terrible service on multiple visits & management makes excuses...if you like one hour waits for food , then this is the place for you.

We went to this restaurant to get fresh cooked pierogi, unfortunately we got in the pan warmed up (in a flavourful weird cooking fat) pierogi's. So disappointed!
Great polish food, reasonable prices, and a warm atmosphere/service!
Just had our first dining experience at Polka! One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Hands down the best dill pickle soup I’ve ever had (and I’ve eaten a lot of dill pickle soup!) can’t wait to come back again!
We met friends for dinner yesterday at Polka. The restaurant is beautiful and unpretentious. The service is friendly. The drink specials are interesting, delicious and reasonably priced. The house wine was quite good. We tried the mushroom and Zurek soups and they both were excellent. I had the city chicken for my main dish with potato pancakes, sour kraut and vegetables. All of the main courses at our table received great reviews. Portions are so generous that we all carried away boxes full of goodies for later. The only disappointment was we were too full to try any of the desserts on display that look very tempting.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Loved everything.
