Me wife and I just had a great lunch at Sammi Korean restaurant in Troy. The Bulgogi and Japchae were outstanding and so was the service was the same. Grace our waitress was super attentive and provided service with a smile. Something you don’t see these days.My wife and I lived in Asia for 4 yrs and we traveled to Korea many times. So far, Sammi has come as close as you can get to original Korean food in the metro Detroit area. We highly recommend Sammi to Korean food lovers. We will certainly be back.

I'm always on the lookout for good, authentic Korean food and this place did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious with great service. I had the kimchi stew, and it was perfect. I will definitely come back to try more dishes!

Cute family-owned restaurant. Really enjoyed the popcorn chicken and sundae (blood sausage). Solid and delicious Korean food.

The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. The service was great, she checked in with me regularly and made sure I got the right order. And the food was amazing. I had the kimchi stew and kimchi pajeon, which were both spicy and delicious. Ever since my old favorite Korean place closed during the pandemic, I've been looking for a new favorite. Although I've only been here once, it definitely fits the bill and I will return to try more dishes!

Called in to order their spicy marinated crab. Best crab I’ve ever had it had a large portion with rice and sides but damn it’s spicy, and the employees are really nice:D

The food there was alright, but their pork blood sausages were the best I ever had, their zhajian noodle was too oily, but other food is ok.

sammi in troy has the best korean food in the metro detroit area hands down! my husband and i have been to a lot of korean restaurants, and this one is definitely the best. the food is absolutely amazing and tastes homemade. the owners are sooo sweet and we always have such a great time at sammi! one of our favorite restaurants :) try their kimchi stew or jajangmyeon

Food was good BUT they overcharged our bill. It was supposed to be $36 + tax but they charged $41 saying $1 for each of the 2 to go boxes... it was busy and the store was small so we let it go. Few days later, we checked our bank statement and the restaurant ended up charging us $47.50 instead of the $41 they charged us in the restaurant. Also the service was not the best but it was a cute place. Never going back. Hate it when restaurants try to rob you, always check your account when the charge posts!!

The most authentic Korean food I've ever had. I have been coming here for the last 10 years with my brother. Hits the spot every time

Horrible experience. I normally don’t leave reviews and especially not negative reviews but the customer service I experienced here was so horrible I felt compelled to leave a review. So, before arriving I always review the menu to have an idea of what I want to order. Upon arriving the menu online and I’m restaurant was different. I overlooked this and still decided to stay and find something new. I found a few options on the restaurant menu that sounded good however, they didn’t have all the ingredients to make my choices. Which I only found out AFTER I had to go get the waitress 20 minutes later after we sat down to let her know we were ready to order. No problem, I searched the menu for something else. I had to search for the waitress again to place another order. She took the order our food arrives to the table fast! It tastes okay but anything I would go back for. I get up to go get the waitress again for our bill. She brings a piece of paper with a total hand written on it. We pay no problem. So me and my party eat, talk, and leave. I did not feel I wanted to leave a tip because the food wasn’t really good and the service wasn’t good. We did not take any food home and we left lots at the table because the food wasn’t good. The waitress follows us outside after we pay and tells us “if you don’t want to tip don’t go out to eat” as if a tip is automatic when it isn’t if the food isn’t good and the service isn’t good then why should I tip? Then she proceeded into the restaurant and locked the door behind her so that I could not enter again.

Incredible food, service, and atmosphere. Our favorite Korean restaurant around

Food taste good and the server is friendly. However, the portions are too small for the hefty price tags. Ate here with my husband and 2 small kids and the appetizers is good for 1 person quantity-wise. This is the only Korean restaurant we experienced where we left still hungry.

Absolutely terrible experience. She charged us for banchan for the to go boxes.. she didn't even give us the same amount as everyone else. Idk if it was racially motivated but we 3 adults and one child ordered three dishes. Terrible horrible experience. I never want to come here again and I will suggest going to eat anywhere else.
