We rode into the area late after a long day on the road. There were few places open. To make a long story short we were eventually recommended Mineral Springs who we called less than 1/2 hr before closing time at 10:00pm. They said they would cook for us. It was 9:45 when we arrived and they very cheerfully whipped up a meal. The bartender and cook were very pleasant and personable. Great menu, cheap prices, food was fantastic! However, I will warn people- the water and ice they use is HORRIBLE. It tastes like pond water. So order alcohol or canned pop/beer. Other than that, really nice restaurant. My husband got the whitefish special with mashed potatoes and green beans, and I got a pizza with a small cheese bread.

I’ve made a tradition of going to Caberfae and enjoying night skiing 4-9 pm, followed by a stop at this AMAZING PLACE! Saturday night always has the prime rib special, which is the best steak I’ve ever eaten (ordered medium). They also always have a large pizza special, which we also order every time (meat lovers).
