“I was traveling for work and was looking for a local place to eat and get a cold snack. I found the Flippin Cow was about a mile from my hotel.
Small place with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were pretty friendly and attentive. Typical variety of off the shelf cold snacks but they also offered some of thier own speciality drinks.
Typically type of menu items for this type of establishment but let me tell you... the cook know how to properly cook a flavorful smash burger. I was so impressed that I went back 2 more times during my stay in Elkhart.
If you want a fantastic smash burger without all the franchise noise and distractions... Flipping Cow is your place to go... just don't tell all of your friends... I still want to be able to get a seat when I stop by there next time.“

“I've had a few totally different experiences here. A few less than good ones but the last experience was really nice. It's our neighborhood bar so when we want a cocktail, it's the only one walking distance so this is why we come back even if the previous experience wasn't as great.“
