“My girlfriend and I have been travelling this weekend for a wedding that was in Holland, MI. Our last stop was here in Portage, which is where my uncle and grandmother live.

Places like RJ's really are special. And by special, I mean really special. I'm kind of sad that I can't take it back to Nashville with us.

Our server, Katie, was stupendous. She was super sweet, quick, and overall had a super great vibe. She also took my Uncle Paulie's jokes very well, which is pretty awesome.

I had the RJ Burger and a Long Drink. Most people argue that burgers are burgers, but this was a burger unlike any other. Fresh, huge, delicious.

If you're in Portage, please come by. I'm sure it gets busy, but this was good timing. You won't miss out, and the people are equally as special.

“I spawned in at the front door fractionally after a young lady set a sign out on the sidewalk advertisingthe place. It startled her and left me befuddled. Since I was here, I ordered a NA beer and a couple of mix drinks. It was record album and trivia night. I sat with a group of strangers that provided good conversation. The DJ (Dave?) ran some rounds of music trivia and interacted with patrons. The staff is great and friendly mixing up some tasty drinks.
