We've got trouble in this town. Something is threatening the modesty of sleepy Portage. The experience at Lake Burger Tavern is so enjoyable it boarders the obscene. I was once like you, curious. Now I cannot unknow the subtle flavors possible in a burger, nor can I forget what excellent service actually looks like. I implore you, do not peek behind that curtain. Enjoy your humble establishments and don't dream of what might be.
We have enjoyed Lake Burger Tavern, I tend to order my favorite every time we go, the roast beef sandwich with giardiniera (please bring it back!) and the parmesan truffle fries, so delicious! The service is outstanding, Jenny the manager always makes us feel welcome and calls us by name. Hats off to Jenny for knowing the importance of providing great food, great service and nice atmosphere and cleanliness!

Super disappointed in the burger!! Thought I got the blue collar burger by accident but after confirming it was the regular bacon cheese burger, I was pretty shocked. Patty was not hand pressed like they claim it was the size of a McDonald's mc double patty with a bunch of toppings for $9. Fries were good, housemate ketchup was good.
