Whenever family visits, this is where they want to eat! Food is always good, love the team approach to service, just wish there weren't so many high tops, they're not so comfy.
We moved back to Michigan after 40 years in NY state. Fish fries in NY are Cod, Hallibut or Talapia. Beer battered huge. Since returning to Mi we have been in search of a good fish fry. All are either Perch or bluegill. I used to eat a lot of bluegill when I was a kid.. but not the same as Cod. The hideaway had the best bluegill I've ever eaten. The wait staff was great.
Good vibes, employees were dressed up for the Kentucky Derby, food was good both times I visited, small bar/restaurant, just plan ahead for the waiting list, but it's worth the wait 😀
