Been going to the Walloon Lake General Store since 1990. New owner and new store a couple years ago. Very positive improvements. However, last year the old time Wallooner grilled sandwich took a dive backwards. Had one today, the end of May 2025. They made it like the old days, but with even more meat. Hopefully they continue that. Thank you!
We go to this store any chance we get and they always have the best stuff. Burnt end dip is my favorite! We have a kid that is allergic to dyes and this store keeps a lot of items that are dye free. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. We have gone to many of the fun celebration events they have held and enjoyed them all. We even won the scarecrow contest!! The only down fall about this store is that it is not closer to where I live.
I just wanna post that. I just got spring rolls from the village General Store for my dinner and I can’t have fried food so Mike the chef offered to bake them for me. Where else do you get that kind of service they’re great here.
