Had an amazing experience at Checkmate Burgers in Warren, MI today with my daughters. The owner was super friendly, and the food was excellent. Definitely a hidden gem—highly recommend checking it out!

As a professional level burgerologist and lover of all things burger and fries, when I heard there was a place up in Warren boldly proclaiming to be the "best", I had to investigate. I will need more visits to try there many different burgers but overall the burger isn't"t bad. Transplants from out west will recognize the similarities between this burger and LA's favorites In n Out burger. Good buns, fresh, soft the pickles were nice and thick sliced not...

My mom and I got two burgers, fries and drinks. The guy serving us (we dined in) was extremely polite and hospitable. Food was top notch. Giving some of my favorite burgers a run for their money!
