The staff allowed a drunk mentally ill person threaten them and walk around in a menacing threatening manner. He should not have been served and the police should have been called. I will never support this establishment again. Do better!! This is how innocent people get hurt!

Dragonmead Brewery is an absolute gem and home to what I truly believe is the greatest beer in the state. Every visit here is a reminder of why local brewing is something worth celebrating. Their beer selection is massive, with styles ranging from bold IPAs and rich stouts to refreshing wheat beers and unique English and Belgian offerings.

If you haven’t tried Final Absolution, you’re missing out—it’s smooth, strong, and incredibly well-balanced. And for something lighter, Castlebrite Apricot Wheat is crisp and fruity without being overly sweet. Honestly, whatever your taste, you’ll find a favorite here. They also offer flights, which is perfect if you want to explore their impressive lineup.

The taproom is warm and inviting, and they’ve got a good mix of snacks and light bites like cheese trays, charcuterie, and dips—perfect for pairing with your drink. On Wednesdays, they host trivia with $6 pints and happy hour specials, and Tuesdays offer $10 growlers and $5 howlers, which is an amazing deal.

The passion behind the beer really shines through in every pour. Whether you’re a casual beer drinker or a total enthusiast, Dragonmead is a must-visit. I’d recommend it to anyone—because when it comes to Michigan beer, this place is in a league of its own.

Been coming here for nearly 20 years.
Always a warm environment with excellent beers. By far the best selection of beer styles in Metro Detroit.

Try the hot pepper ale called RING of FIRE. It won't kill 'ya. It has generous amounts of Jalepenos, Habaneros and Serranos but just the right amount so it's drinkable. The peppers hit the back of your throat and you think WOW...can I drink this? Then it kinda settles in and lightens up and you want another sip. It's one of the most interesting and memorable craft beers I've tried. We had some chips and dip with it on their very limited food menu on a Sunday afternoon. They had a sign on the wall saying they had chili but they said not until Tuesday. Not much to eat here or I would have given 5 stars instead of 4 because the beer is cleverly made. But I expected food from what I read online. The beer server said it was something to do with not being a Brewpub because they distribute their beer and that's a different license and besides their kitchen is small....she said.... as best I could catch as she was on the run. So take note of that if you come in hungry. We didn't get too much conversation with her since she was so busy but I will say she consistently poured a full topped off beer every time. She had that perfectly down.

My favorite local brewery! Great selections with a huge variety. Of course, Final Absolution is a must try, but I also love Bishop Bob. Try them all!!
