Ok, it's maybe not the nicest looking place. It is however kept fairly clean. It is a smaller size than you might expect with only a handful of seats along the bar top. No, they don't serve alcohol... The food on the other hand is exceptional. They make the best Reubens in the area. Their other sandwiches are great as well. If you are looking for a great Reuben you will most certainly want to give them a try. Their sandwiches are fairly large as well so keep that in mind when ordering...Parking: They only have a few parking spots and the parking lot is extremely terrible. Be careful when pulling in or out of the lot or your space. The potholes are deep. When they are filled with water, drive at your own risk!

I unfortunately had a terrible experience with the House of Reuben 8mile. When you order a 12oz. jumbo sandwich that is what you expect to get, norhing less. I spoke with the owner, I explained that my sandwich felt underweight. He said, that the meat was cooked, weighed, then wrapped ahead of time. He said a reg. is 6oz. and a jumbo is 12oz.. Now I'd been to several corned beef restaurants looking for what I thought was best, so I literally could feel the difference.I was so sure that I was being cheated, that when I got home I took the meat off the bread and weighed it. There was only 6oz.on 1/2 of sandwich, and 3.2oz. on the other.So, I called to complain. The server was so nice. She volunteered out of her own money to pay for a sandwich for me.When I called to go back the owner said she had no right to make such an offer, to pay for me another sandwich. He then went on to say that the meat is cut first, weighed, then cooked. So the meat will of course weigh less after it's been cooked. Then he blames everyone who makes corned beef, saying this is the way everyone does it. As if I wouldn't know. Sad....it was a really bad experience. So always check your order! Why pay for a large, and get a small. It's not right. I hope this doesn't happen to you!
Went here cause my usual spot closed early for some reason. The corned beef was thick cut, rubbery and flavorless. Never again, but the cheese sticks were good and the marina tasted almost homemade. We gave what was left after 1 bite of our sandwiches to my girls dog & he had trouble chewing it.

I ordered two corn beef sandwiches; one with pepper jack and the other with swiss cheese. I’m upset at the overpriced sandwiches that were cold, and the fact this place are very cheap on the meat. Plus, I paid 28 dollars for two sandwiches that don’t come with fries. This place is a ripoff. Go anywhere but this place. I will never come here again. A waste of time & money.

The new people that's running it is coll but the food is nasty now and they had a cook in there that look like he was working on cars and cooking at the same time they just don't have the same touch as the previous cook and it's dirty in there
